Ang Umiibig na Leon


Sa isang pamayanang kahuyan noong nakalipas na panahon, isang mabangis na leon ang
umibig sa anak ng mangangahoy. Hiningi niya sa ama ang kamay ng dalaga. Ayaw ng ama na ipakasal
ang anak sa Leon. Ngunit takot siyang tanggihan ang hari ng kagubatan.
Nag-isip ang ama. Tiwanag niya ang Leon at sinabihan. “ Tatanggapin kita, mapapatunayan

pinutol ang kanyang mga kuko. Makalipas ang dalawang araw bumalik ang Leon upang hingin ang
kamay ng dalaga. Ngunit handa ang ama. Hndi na siya takot sa Leon. Hinampas niya ng malaking piraso
ng kahoy ang Leon. Tumakas ang Leon at nagtago sa kagubatan. Magmula noon hindi na ginambala ng
Leon ang mag-ama.
