Concept of philosophy

          the word 'philosophy' comes from several

foreign words, namely   philo   (love) of Greek
and   sophos   (wisdom, wisdom). So, the combination
of these two words means love to the policy or   love of
wisdom in English.
          philosophy is defined as knowledge and
research on the causes of existence or of truth and
meaning exists.
          philosophy can be defined as true and rational
thinking or scenery. The thought generated by these
thinkers is the result of the raising of the mind as a
result of their study using a systematic and logical
method of logic.
          the term philosophy is well known for the word
'think'. thinking is insufficient to cover the whole
philosophical meaning but it is necessary to have
certain characteristics to determine the validity of
whether such a thing is philosophy or not. These three
features are, think critically, think universally and think
integral.

NATIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION (FPK)

  It is a guideline for all educational activities in

Malaysia.
 The existence of FPK is indirectly driving the Malaysian
nation to sit equally low in height with education in
other developing countries.
 Education in Malaysia from pre-school to university
level has its own systematic and gradual system.
Philosophy branches
Metaphysics          a study of the existence and foundation of a broad view
           involving everything that exists.
         discussing whether the world is true or an illusion.
         Without any clarification or interpretation of the wo
around us, we will not be able to deal with reality.
         We will not be able to nurture ourselves or sustain o
lives.
         Metaphysics questioned about:
• Is there a universal knowledge body to learn?
• Who should decide what to learn?
• Are students basically good and reliable?

Axiology          derived from the Greek word meaning value or

English value / worth ; while the word logia is a study
quality or value.
         Axiology includes ethics and aesthetics, which
philosophical fields that depend on values and sometim
are associated with theory, values and meta-values.
         The topics to be discussed here are those that are ab
moral, ethical and aesthetic. The questions related to
axiology are:
• Is it moral and non-moral?
• What is beauty?
• Does life have meaning?
• How does someone behave?
• What is moral behavior?

Epistemology          study on how we gain the knowledge and the nature
  knowledge itself.
         It involves the way our mind relates to reality and whet
this relationship is valid or vice versa.
         an explanation of how we think that is a requirement
determining the truth and separating the truth from offens
         To the extent that our epistemology is correct depends
the level of understanding of our reality and the extent
can use the knowledge to realize the life and purpose of
lives.
         Answers to epistemological questions provide
rationale for selecting materials for teaching and learn
and suggesting how information should be taught
delivered to students.
         Thus, two basic epistemological questions are as follow
• Does it include knowledge?
• Does the knowledge remain or change?

Logic          Logic is the word Creek, meaning logos , thoughts, ide

  arguments, reasons or principles.
         Logic is a study of the principle of authenticity ab
something inferentially (something that is known indirec
and demonstration (something that is known after
study).
