We Love Indian Trail!

While the school year is definitely not wrapping up as any of us had planned, PTO Exec Board and Committee Chair
volunteers are working hard to figure out how to further support teachers, students, and families. Your continued
ideas are welcome at indiantrailpto@gmail.com. Our current efforts include but are not limited to: designing the
yearbook and figuring out distribution, rethinking Teacher Appreciation Week, honoring our departing fifth
graders, and considering how to connect with incoming kindergarten families.

April Ice Cream Day Credits/Refunds

We would like to offer our Indian Trail families the opportunity to donate their missed ice cream day credits for
April and May to the Highland Park Community Foundation. Please look for an email asking you if you would like to
donate your $3 per ice cream day or request a refund. Donations made in support of the HPCF COVID-19
Emergency Response Appeal will be used to fund requests that the HPCF has already received and will continue to
receive from grant recipients and other agencies that serve Highland Park and Highwood residents. 100% of all
donations will go directly to support services and supplies for those in need. There are so many families and
organizations in need at this time and we hope that you will consider donating your ice cream day credits. If we do
not hear from you (via the email survey) by next Sunday, April 26th we will assume you would like to have your
refund donated.

Last Call - Please Help Us Complete the Yearbook!

Your Yearbook Team is hard at work putting the 2019-2020 yearbook together. We are reaching out one last time
requesting photos from you. One section for which we need many more photos is this unprecedented time away from
school. Since it has been decided that we will not be going back to in-person learning for the rest of the school year, we
will probably dedicate at least two pages to this memorable time of the kids’ lives. Additionally, some classes and
activities are not well represented. Please send photos to indiantrailyearbooks@gmail.com and include class/activity
information to help us file it correctly.
Finally, if you are a fifth grade parent and have not yet submitted a baby photo of your child, please do so ASAP. Please
reference your email or last week’s eblast if you need instructions. Contact Julie Walter (jujeebaby@yahoo.com) with
additional questions.
