Fire Fighting System Design, fabrication & operation of the plant shall be based on the following:
 Fire protection manual of fire sectional committee, Insurance association of India.
 NFPA code of practice

Following shall be in scope of Work.

1. Fire Fighting System connection with the existing firefighting network. (Refer attached Layout for Fire Fighting System).

2. Fire Detection, Protection alarm & Potable Fire Extinguishers as required.

 Water Tapping to be done from existing 8” Fire Hydrant (U/G Line) tapping (E=2343.605M,N=939.874M) shall
be available from weigh bridge area of rolling plant.)
 Fire Hydrant Ring Main to be done covering as per Plant layout
a) Unloading Hopper Shed.(68mx18m,1 No. Floor)
b) Along Pipe Conveyor Gallery PC-100(Approx. length=350m)
c) Pent-House.(6m x 6m, 1 No. Floor)
d) Transfer Tower TP-01.(12.250mx10.200m,4 Nos. of Floor)
e) Along Pipe Conveyor Gallery PC-200(Approx. length=665m)
f) Transfer Tower TP-02. (11mx10.200m,3 Nos. of Floor)
g) Along Pipe Conveyor Gallery PC-300(Approx. length=485m)
h) Transfer Tower TP-03. (11mx10.200m,3 Nos. of Floor)
i) MCC Room(22mx 12.2m,Floors-G+2Nos)
j) Blower & PLC Room. (10mx10m,Floors-G+1No.)
k) Watch Tower with Operating Cabin (5mx5m, 1 No. Floor)

 Following shall be considered in scope of Supply.

a) Ring Main
b) Fire Hydrant Valve.
c) Hose Reel with Hose Reeling Drum.
d) M.S Double door Hose Box.
e) Water Monitor.
f) Fire Fighting Piping along with Fittings.
g) Manual Isolation Valves where ever required.
h) Additional accessories in order to complete the System.

Exclusions:
 Firefighting water up to the battery limits.

3. Portable Fire Fighting System.

 Each Substation/ switchgear rooms shall be provided with rubber mats in front of every panel (both side),
shock treatment chart, CO2 fire extinguisher (min 2),
