În contextul ide astăzi, societatea românească se găseşte într-o etap ă

de deplină afirmare european ă, sistemul educaţional adaptându-se continuu
noilor standarde.
Astfel, limba engleză cap ătă o importan ţă deosebit ă fiind
considerată o condi ţie “ sine – que – non “ a desăvârşirii personalităţii
adolescentului în mileniului al III – lea.
Sub acest aspect, tema propusă urmăreşte: dezvoltarea capacităţii de
exprimare orală şi scrisă prin cunoa șterea și asimilarea elementelor de
grmatică a limbii engleze și stimularea interesului pentru studiul limbii
engleze.
Lucrarea cuprinde o variantă de program ă op ţională cu teme care nu
sunt incluse ca atare în programa disciplinară la clasa a X – a, obiectivele de
referinţă şi activităţile de învăţare adecvate acestora, lista de conţinuturi
şi modalităţile de evaluare.
