Direction: The students will be asked to get ½ crosswise sheet


of white paper. The instructor will show 10 photographs of
current events or personalities, and students will write as many
hashtags as they can think of related to the photos.

- Why are hashtags important nowadays in relaying
information in social media?

C. Abstraction
- Slide show discussion on the definition of “information
and communications technology” or ICT.
- Discuss the history of ICT.

“Oral Recitation”
A few students will be called randomly and going to present
their hashtags about what they have written on the paper.
Evaluation: Form a group with 5 members, students can use their phone for
searching various online content regarding the Web 1.0 and 2.0. and
evaluate if it is Static or Dynamic Web page.

Office Excel with the collaboration of mail merge on all MS office

Classroom Activity: familiarize the usage of formulas and common


functions available in using Microsoft Excel,

Use Microsoft Excel as a tool to compute and present data. Students
will interact with computer to familiarize the menus, tabs and
process of spreadsheet, share with the students the different
techniques of excel.
Familiarize the tools to be used in mail merge;
To use mail merge in creating same letter to be sent for a large
number of people. Mail Merges allow companies to send the same
letter to a large number of people without having to manually
change the name, address and other contact details of the
recipients.
Mail Merges are beneficial as they are much faster and automatic
compared to manually change the address and name of the
recipients manually.
Evaluation: Hands-on Exercise: students will use the basic formulas the use of
mathematical operations for solving problems. Use of mail merge for
easy distribution of documents to the recipients

Classroom Activity: This chapter will introduce you to the principles


of graphics and design, the application of these principles, basic
Lesson Proper:
image manipulation, and orient you on the processes, its common
applications, and how to share images over the internet. Graphic and
design has seven (7) principles that will help creating layouts and
design web pages compliant with the protocols. (Balance, Movement,
Unity, Repetition, Proximity, Contrast, Whitespace). Infographic a
visual image such as a chart or diagram that used to explain
information or data, guidelines of creating infographics (Story, Data,
Simplicity, Sources, Shareability). Since the introduction of graphics
file formats also became an important aspect in the design stage.
Techniques of image manipulation, there are basic common
techniques to all image editing programs (Cropping, Color balance,
Brightness and contrast, Resizing, Color blending, Combining
multiple images). Using of Online graphic software, Photoshop came
to be the standard of photo editing but internet offers a wide range
of selection for editing photos like picasa and fotor. As we have the
image also internet cater for online hosting like photobucket and
flickr. Also in this chapter will discuss regarding the three
dimensional graphic and printing.

Evaluation: Hands-on Exercise: students will engage to the computer by using a


software for graphic design and manipulation, students will create a
infographics.

visit different areas on school that will create a poster showing NDMU

also Photoshop and GIMP offline, GIMP will be the software to be use

after the introduction of the software and its command student now
