TOPIC/ LESSON NAME Online Platforms for ICT Content Development (Ref: CG 2nd
Quarter Week 3)
CONTENT STANDARDS The learners demonstrate an understanding of:
1. The use of advanced tools and techniques found in common
productivity and software applications in developing ICT
content for specific professional tracks.
2. how to manipulate text, graphics, and images to create ICT
content intended for an online environment
PERFORMANCE at the end of the 2-week period independently apply the principles
STANDARDS and techniques of design using online creation tools, platforms, and
applications to create original or derivative ICT content for use in
specific professional tracks

These may be in the form of, but not limited to:


1. Survey instruments using Google forms (Business/ Academic)
2. Athletic match-ups and league standings using Mindmeister
(Sports)
3. Catalogues/Swatches/ options for products and services
using Prezi (TechVoc)
4. Online photo album of artistic works or photographs using
Picasa (Arts)
5. Online music production using Sibelius (Music)

Task #1: Debate

1. Student will be divided into two groups. One group represents “team social media” while the
other represents “team bloggers.” The groups will have a ten -minutes closed group
discussion about the advantages of each platform. After ten minutes, the groups will choose
five representative that will debate on which platform is superior and why.
2. Those who are not representing the group will be given a chance to raise their point by
raising their hand.
3. After the debate, each students will share their thoughts by answering the question: Which
platform is superior? Why?

INSTRUCTION/ DELIVERY
Time Allotment: 20 minutes
Discussion
1. The students will give their prior knowledge about Online Platforms for ICT Content
Development.
2. The teacher will ask the following question:
- What are the different Online Platforms for ICT Content Development?
- How can content management system helps to manipulate web contents?
What are the ways on creating Blog?

TASK #2: Blog
1. Students will research then uncommonly used Filipino words, their definition, and example
for each when used in a sentence. Then create a blog post about these words using the blog
you created. Choose three of these words and video someone or yourself to pronounce
these three words using all them in individual sentences
2. Each group must assure that they use the principles of designing when layouting and when
adding content for your page. Once set up try adding content like photographs. Share the
photos using your page.
3. Upload these video on Facebook and embed those video as part of your post.

Time Allotment: 5 minutes
Task #3: Jump Starting Your Social Media Campaign (Group Activity)
1. Students will be divided into groups. Then each group will take a look on an initial plan by
identifying the correct web platform for social change. They need to set up their own
website or a web page by creating Facebook page.
2. Each group must assure that they use the principles of designing when layouting and when
adding content for your page. Once set up try adding content like photographs. Share the
photos using your page.
3. Then it will be check based on the status of your web page.
