The main character of the film is Pierre Dulaine. He is a dance instructor for the High School
Students. He is the only instructor who motivates students and encourage them to do their best.
He inspired the students by giving them a new dance concept which is the combination of salsa
and tango dance. Through the dance students are given the opportunity to explore their talent.
His positive reinforcement made the students to dance well and participated for the dance
competition

III. Do a summary from your view

Based on this “take the lead” movie, the movie tells us the struggle of a professional dance
teacher, who’s known as Pierre dulain. He thought of giving a group of problem students a
second chance by exploring their dance skills.

One of the night, Pierre is astonished to see a boy, Rock (Rob Brown) destroying his new school
director's car. The following day Pierre goes to the school to ask for a job as a dance teacher.
The director has little confidence in Pierre’s idea of helping the students including Rock in
detention to reform through dance classes.

Even the students who prefer hip-hop or rap, think it isn't a great idea to learn the dance which
will be taught by Pierre. Despite criticism from students in his formal dance academy as well as
from parents and teachers who believe that the students need more educational class such as
mathematics and reduce dance.

Pierre manage to get the students attention with a tango session and made them to practice
and not give up. they eventually competed in a dance contest and the important thing is isn't
about winning, but making a difference, understanding and build their confident level.

Last but not least, Pierre inspired the students by giving them a new dance concept which is the
combination of salsa and tango dance. Through the dance students are given the opportunity to
explore their talent.
