Standard job descriptions are given in the separate manual. This manual is available with
HRD department. Project manager has to study this job descriptions for different cadres
and depending upon project requirement he has to prepare project specific job description
for each individual. While preparing these JDs ha has to keep in mind the strengths and
weaknesses of each individuals allotted to him for the project. He has to ensure that no
work is left unattended. At the same time he also has to ensure that nobody is over
loaded. After preparing JD for each individual he has to distribute that same, and explain
them about the project requirement as well as what is expected from each of them.

Responsibility distribution for staff at site

Two concepts are in practice as under usual:

1) Building wise
2) Forward team & Back up team.

1) In Building wise system we may devide the whole work in different small
workable zones or sub heads so that around 3-4 staff should be able to handle that
work easily and then we may select one sub head incharge. who will be
responsible for the overall progress of his sub head and so on.

2) Another way of working is to form a Forward team, will do the initial survey
work, layout excavation and upto plinth activity which would be followed by the
Back-up team who will look after the super structure work as a whole. In the
initial stage only forward team will work when the members of Back up team may
help to them until their work comes into picture. During the completion stage of a
project only Back up team will work when the members of forward team will help
accordingly.

The responsibilities and area of working should be well difined to every members before
starting the actual execution of work .

This should be clear to every one that we have to work as a family or like a team only and
our aim should be the timely completion of work with the desired quality .
