The “Boot Drive” for
Glasgow’s 4th of July
Fireworks Display was
held this past Friday
in downtown Glasgow.
A huge thanks to the
volunteers that collected
(at left is Twyla Isakson
and Susan Fast who filled
in a lengthy afternoon
shift) and a huge thanks
to those who donated, a
ballpark figure of around
$7,900 was raised
according to Susan, so it
was a very successful Boot
Drive indeed! A delightful
evening of fireworks show
put on by our Glasgow
Fire Department and
Valley County Long Run
Volunteer Firefighters
awaits. “It’s all going to go
up in smoke in minutes,”
Susan laughed about the
funds, but much to the
delight of kids of all ages.
