treatment as directed & specified. Payment once as per plinth
area. (Guarantee is to be given in the format on stamp paper
for 10 years.)

CONCRETE::
Note:
a) All metal to be washed well before use in the concrete.
b) Sample and size of metal should be approved by the
Consultants before procurement.
c) Water used in the concrete should be good water strictly as
per I.S. specifications and should be free from salt organic
chemicals. Generally potable water is good for concrete,
however if required water is to be tested as per I.S. standards
in an approved laboratory of Consultants choice.

d) All concrete shall be machine mixed and to be mechanically


vibrated.

II PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE


2.1 Plain cement Concrete(PCC) 1 : 4 : 8 one part of cement four
part of sand and eight parts of good approved 40mm jelly,
well mixed in a mechanical mixed and placed in position and
consolidated by rammer / vibrator. The sides and bottom of
excavation should have been well damped with water before
laying of concrete. The rate to include cost of hire charges for
mixer machine and vibrator etc. The top of concrete to be
made to even level without adding any mortar in foundation for
bases of walls,plinths,rafts,plinth beams, floor slabs pits to
make up levels etc.

III REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE:
All RCC works shall in strict conformity with IS 456 &
specification appended herewith. Unless other wise specified
all items of RCC are as per the grade specified. The rate shall
be inclusive of dewatering, hoisting by normal labour or by
means of mechanical equipment. Consolidation by rodding,
temping, vibrating by an approved mechanical vibrator
etc.Protecting ,curing including hacking, roughening of
concrete surface receiving plaster of any other finish including
costs of all tests on all materials & concrete as & when directed
by the consultants.

The rate for RCC work shall include for forming


projections,sinking of floors in toilets wherever directed,
Forming opening or niches providing dowel bars ands also
coordinating with other agencies for laying conduits, boxes,
pipes ,clamps etc as directed at site. The rate quoted shall
include forming construction joints/expansion strips as directed.

Providing and laying in position concrete using 12mm to 20mm


graded metal and good M sand and OPC 53 grade cement
including all leads and lifts, scaffolding wherever required,
formwork including its removal after the period of setting of
concrete, curing but excluding cost of steel reinforcement
placed in position (paid for separately) etc all as per the
drawings / specification etc complete.

Providing and laying brick jelly lime concrete comprising of one
part of lime to 2.5 parts of brick jelly well mixed and laid in toilet
sunken portion .

VII FINISHING WORKS
7.1 Prepare surface and plaster the inner surfaces of concrete and
masonry walls with cement mortar 1 : 4, 12mm thick using
good M sand / M sand, including raking out joints ,hacking
concrete surface , Preparing junctions of concrete /masonry by
neat cleaning, pointing/grouting using non-shrink mortar , also
proving and fixing 20 gauge GI chicken mesh @150 mm wide
to junctions of concrete and masonry,Preparing jams, sills,
grooves, rounding of corners etc. all complete as per architects
drawing, specification and finishing smooth with wooden float
etc or as specified by the consultants,at all leads, depth and
lifts, doing independent double legged scaffolding cleaning of
surfaces,curing etc complete patch plaster etc. The rate to
include apart from the above the cost of scaffolding, curing,

the first slurry coat has dried up.

Applying 20 mm cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement :4 coarse sand)
