File No. AV/22025/25A/DMS/Medical
Dated: 22 May 2020

Subject: EXTENSION OF VALIDITY TO FLY WITH MEDICAL FITNESS ON CA

FORM 35 IN VIEW OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC

A valid Medical Assessment is required by all aircrew while exercising the

privileges of their license. DGCA vide Public Notice dated 21 Nov 2019 mandated that
a pilot can fly with the CA35 for a maximum period of 03 months only. Beyond 03 months,
the approval of DGCA must be sought. The aircrew must seek a Medical Assessment
from DGCA Medical Directorate if no assessment is received within 2 ½ months of the
Medical.

However, due to Global Corona Virus Outbreak followed by nationwide

lockdown, the CA Form 34/ 34A & CA Form 35 i.r.o Civil Aircrew Medical Examination
could not reach this Dte on time, causing delay in issue of Medical Assessments.

Hence, the validity for flying with medical fitness on CA Form 35, issued on or
after 01 Jan 2020 has been extended up to 30 Sep 2020 as a onetime measure.

Notwithstanding the above, the Medical Directorate will issue the Medical
Assessment expeditiously on receipt of Civil Aircrew Medical Examination files.
