Lesson Students will be using technology to help them understand numbers and quantity. By counting objects, they will

introduce the children in the lesson. There will be pictures of the numbers and their quantity all around the
place.

Instructional Procedures:

Day 1: Around 20 minutes

5 minutes: Children will be seated on the carpet with me reading to them a book about counting numbers. Every time I say a
number, I will be showing them a card/picture of the number.

5 minutes: They also will watch YouTube videos about counting numbers.

5 minutes: We will be moving to the table and using cards/picture of numbers 1-10 and blocks they will play “I spy” to identify the
number for the quantity of the blocks they are counting. They are going to “write the number” on a piece of paper.

5 minutes: They will be using ABCmouse app to play an activity to emphasize what they have learned.
Day 2-4: Around 20 minutes
Basically, we are going to repeat what we did in day 1, but during circle time we will talk about what we have learned the day
before. We are going to read different books, watch different videos, and do a different online numbers activity.
Day 5: Around 20 – 25 minutes
5 minutes: During circle time we will be seated on the carpet listening the radio and singing numbers songs and I will be observing
the children.
15 -20 minutes: We will be counting different toys and objects, and with a Tablet I will be showing then pictures of numbers to see
if they are able to match the picture with the quantity they have already counted. Then, I will be recording the results of each
child’s observation in their portfolio.

Students that are gifted or accelerated will have the choice to pick extra activities in the main topic that interest them.

Students that may be struggling will have multiple opportunities to learn. I will be providing them with different kind of activities
to see what interest them most and then, I will be focusing the lesson based on their learning style.
