To Study The Characteristics Of Concrete Modified With Partially

Substation Of Marble Slurry With Binding Material .

INTRODUCTION EXPERIMENTS
The industrial waste has
been rapidly increased day
by day because of the fast-
expanding population which
dumps the waste in an
inappropriate way resulting
in environmental pollutions.
It has been recommended
that; the disposal of
industrial waste would be
greatly reduced if it could be
incorporated in concrete
production.

MARBLE WASTE
Marble waste is produced
during the cutting shaping
and polishing marble in
marble plants. Waste marble

CONCLUSION
The basic objective of this investigation is to examine the characteristics of concrete
using marble slurry as binding material in proportions 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%
& 30% by weight of cement. Based on results, the following conclusion has been drawn.
• Waste marble may be useful and beneficial in concrete production.
• The increase of marble waste dosage in concrete decreased the workability of
concrete.
• At 20% replacement of cement by marble waste was obtained as optimum replacing
percentage at which the compressive, split tensile and flexural strength were 20%,
16% and 18% higher than blank concrete, respectively.
