SITE ACCESS & TEMPORARY PROTECTION
Site Access and Site Limitations shall be agreed with the Owner at the

TEMPORARY SERVICES
Allow for all temporary services necessary for the carrying out of this
contract including water, plumbing, air,power, lighting, telephones,
facsimile mchines, fire protection, safety and directional signage and
other services, pay fees for the duration of the Contract and

available free of charge to all Sub-Contractors, Nominated
Sub-Contractors, Separate Sub-Contractors and the Principal

The cost of electricity from a permanent power supply used for


commissioning and equipment shall be borne by the Principal item $150,000.00

TEMPORARY WORKS
All ow for all temporary works as required for the construction of the
works including propping and strengthening existing structures and the item $250,000.00
like as necessary

PLANT & TOOLS


Allow for the provision and maintenance of all plant and tools item $55,000.00
SCAFFOLDING
Allow to provide all internal and external scaffolding and afford free of
charge the use of all scaffolding to sub-contractors, nominated sub-
contractors, separate contractors and the Owner for the efficient item $123,000.00
carrying out of their work

CRANAGE & HOISTING


Allow to provide lifting facilities and provide same free of charge to
sub-contractors, nominated sub-contractors, separate contractors and item $150,500.00
the Principal for the efficient carrying out of their work

MAKING GOOD & PROTECTION


Allow to safeguard the site, the works, materials and plant item $56,250.00

Allow for the maintenance and protection from damage during the
carrying out of the contract all contiguous property, of water, electricity
and gas companies, drainage authorities and similar undertakings. item $150,000.00
Include for making good all damage thereto

Allow to protect work from damage due to inclement weather. Include for
drying out the building if required to allow the works to proceed note no costing

Allow to respect the rights and convenience of all persons occupying


the premises during building operations note no costing

Allow for all costs associated with minimising the noise nuisance during
the building operations item $15,000.00

At completion of the Contract reinstate any adjacent property, foot


paths, roads, kerbs or other work damaged during the progress of work
and leave in a neat and tidy condition.This shall include making good to
public foot paths disturbed due to excavations or building item $250,000.00

CLEANING UP SITE
Allow for the periodic collection and removal of all trade debris from the
site and for generally keeping the works clean item $85,430.00

Allow to clean up at the completion of the contract and hand the


building over clean.This includes removing all rubbish, cleaning all
plumbing fittings, and the like, cleaning and polishing all glass both
sides, cleaning all gutters and downpipes, oiling all locks, etc., and item $75,000.00

Al low for final cleaning of the building by a commercial cleaning


contractor prior to handing over to the Employer.This shall include
polishing all internal glass, cleaning toilet areas, cleaning and polishing item $860,000.00

foreman, workmen's sheds, and sanitary conveniences note no costing

OTHER COSTS
Allow for all other costs incurred in site establishment item $17,000.00

on for staff as required during the period of the Contract Works item $17,500.00

Allow for all cost associated with shipping and handling of goods,
materials and planti ncluding but not limited to payment of all port fees item $100,000.00

DEFECTS LIABILITY
Allow to maintain the work for the Defects Liability period and in

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Allow for Quality Assurance including systems, plans, etc as required

ATTENDANCE
Allow to attend upon all Sub-Contractors and Nominated Sub-
Contractors including cutting away for and making good after, allowing

BILL OF QUANTITIES
The Bills of Quantities have generally been measured in accordance note no costing
with the Australian Standard Method of Measurement of Building
Works, Sixth Edition.
Tenderers are required to fully acquaint themselves with this method
and to allow in their pricing for the implementation of this met hod. Not
withstanding the Conditions of Contract no claims for method of
measurement issues will be entertained

All items are measured net as fixed in place, exclusive of laps .Unless note no costing
stated otherwise the description of each item shall include for supply,
conveyance, deliver y, unloading, storing, hoisting, all labour in setting
out , fittings and fixing in position, square cutting and waste, return of
packagings, use of plant and tools, over head charges and profit

The basic unit of length used in the Bill of Quantities is the millimetre note no costing
unless stated otherwise
Items marked (PROVISIONAL) are subject to note no costing
remeasurement and shall be adjusted according to the quantity
incoporated into the Works
The Contractor is required to price each individual item separately note no costing
within the Bills of Quantities when presenting the priced Schedules to be
used for the administration of the Contract
If items of work in the Bills of Quantities do not have a cost allowance note no costing
allocated to them by the Contractor then it will be deemed that eit er all
relevant costs associated with such items have been included
elsewhere within costs for other items of wor k; or that no remuneration
is required for such items
