ABSTRACT

Manual Rice planting was long and tiring method. It was a time-
consuming and requires a lot of human effort that can cause body pains.
Nowadays, young people chose to pursue other careers than agriculture that
resulted to the declining number of rice farmers.
This study developed a Motorized Rice Transplanting Machine. The
machine consists of a 3.KW diesel engine, seedling tray, propeller wheel, and
mechanical arm. Farmers are the respondents of the study. This study aims to
aids the impediment of the country, it was to help secure the current food
demand. Instead of demanding large numbers of manpower it can be reduced
through this study the Motorized Rice Transplanting Machine.
This study concludes that was capable in terms of its functionality
because it consumes lesser time than the manual method. The design was
applicable to its preferred functions because all of its components worked
successfully and thus, it meets the major objectives in terms of design and
functionality. Overall, the features of the Motorized Rice Transplanting Machine
give its potential to be developed further.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

First and foremost, we would like to thank God Almighty for giving us the
strength, knowledge, ability and opportunity to undertake this research study and
to persevere and complete it satisfactorily. Without His blessings, this
achievement would not have been possible.
In our journey towards this degree, We have found a teacher, a friend, an
inspiration, a role model and a pillar of support in our Guide, Prof. Noel M.
Hernandez. He has been there providing his heartfelt support and guidance at all
times and has given us invaluable guidance, inspiration and suggestions in our
quest for knowledge. Without his able guidance, this thesis would not have been
possible and we shall eternally be grateful to him for his assistance.
We have great pleasure in acknowledging our gratitude to Sir Juvel
Ompoc for allowing us and providing us the tools and area for the fabrication of
our study. We also take pride in acknowledging the insightful guidance of Sir Lad
Labrada for sparing his valuable time whenever we approached him and
showing us the way ahead and ensuring that the fire keeps burning and being
there at times when we required motivation and propelling us on the course of
this thesis and also for assisting us in collation of data for our research. Their
support, encouragement and credible ideas have been great contributors in the
completion of the thesis.
Our acknowledgement would be incomplete without thanking the biggest
source of our strength, our family. The blessings of our parents Mr and Mrs.
Rosesarly and Paterno Ansing, Esterlita and Allan Iglupas, Erlyn and Rufino
Abenoja, Adelina and Laurencio Villarosa, and lastly, Lovella and Angelito
Actub. We thank them for putting us up in difficult moments where we felt
stumped and for goading us to follow our dream of getting this degree. This
would not have been possible without their unwavering and unselfish love and
support given to me at all times.
But all in all, all the praises and thanksgiving belongs to God.
