Consolidation work sheet – Initial Lit 2 variations easy/hard
Rainbow tricky words (read, flip, check, colour) Read the words aloud, flip the word over, write in 1 colour and then flip over to check.
Repeat 5 times with different coloured pencils.
Rainbow tricky words – Students trace the inside of tricky words using 5 different colours. (not colouring in the letters)
Sentence writing with tricky words – Students pick 4 tricky words to put into a sentence (Group 4 should be using 2 tricky words in
each sentence)
Free choice writing – Students can choose what they want to write about, must have at least 4 detailed sentences and then swap with
someone else in their group to check their work. Checking for full stops, capital letters, finger spaces, a subject and does the sentence
make sense?
