Executive Summary

Our purpose is to start a new business of producing sugar free and zero calorie Ice- creams. There are
many successful companies in this business already, but there is none who is selling a zero calorie ice
cream. Therefore, it would give us a competitive edge over those companies in the industry. In today’s
world, people have become more and more health conscious. As a result we are not being able to enjoy
the common pleasantries such and sweets, ice-cream without being concern about the consequences.
Diabetes has increased significantly over the decade in our country. Which results for them to not be
able to consume ice cream as freely as they would like. Not just the patient, even the health conscious
people are also restraining for consuming such pleasantries. Hence, we would like to give these people
back their freedom to enjoying this sweet delight without having them to worry about their health and
disease. Which is the sugar free and zero calorie ice cream.
Introduction

In current market, the ice cream industry in Bangladesh seems to be at its peak. However, there is still
some opportunities where we can strike. One of them is introducing the new sugar free or Zero calorie
Ice cream. Currently no company in the industry produces such good. Some renowned ice cream parlors
do offer sugar free ice cream but they also charge u a premium for that. Moreover, you can only enjoy
that while you are at their shop. Companies like Igloo, Polar or Bellissimo do not produce such products.
Bellissimo did come up with the idea, but did not continue production at full force. Therefore, there is a
gap in the market of the ice cream industry.

Target Customer

Our main target group will be the health conscious people. Everybody loves ice cream at every age.
However, those who are diabetes patients, suffers from obesity, too much health concerned cannot
enjoy this pleasantry at free will. Therefore, we will target this group of people for our new zero cal. Ice
cream. In addition, people with a sports background who has to keep their calories in check can also be
one of our target group.

Brief business plan

1. Create customer awareness in the beginning period


2. Start our own brand “Name of the Brand”
3. Sell product in different stores and retailed shops such as Agora, Shwapno, Meena bazar
4. To create mass awareness, go heavy on promotion, as we are a completely new company in the
market. Use of social media, buzz marketing, SEO is highly recommended as well as the
traditional TVC and other advertising media.
5. Keep the production cost as low as possible without hindering the quality or taste of the ice
cream, so we can keep e discounted price for our new customers and hope to capture market
rapidly
6. In addition, do promotional activities like, giving offers; buy one get one free, free sample test,
campaigns.
7. Figure out certain risk and come up with proper solutions. (Some potential risks are mentioned
below)
8. Try to reach breakeven in one and a half year.
9. Once we capture the market, we can increase our profit margin according to current situation.

Potential risks

The other companies are imitating one of the major risk. Companies like Igloo, Polar, Bellissimo are
highly competitive in this market. In addition, it would be very hard for us to sustain them from copying
the concept of sugar free ice cream.

Our best hope is to keep our information secret for as long as possible, get a lead start with our first
mover advantage. If we can grab the market by shock then the risk of imitation will be nullified. Because
once we grab the market, we will not have to worry about being copied. Then we will constantly
upgrade our product and keep our customers satisfied, in management term, increase the switching
cost for our customers.

Methodology

For research purpose, we would conduct a survey on regular people. Figure out whether they want such
a product or not.

Secondary research is also a great source of information is this case.
