Lesson 1: Definition and Process of Communication

Activity 1:
Based on your own understanding of what communcation is, create a diagram
showing who is involved in your own definition of communication.
Activity 2:
During free time, try to observe your family members how they communicate to each
other and take note of the dyamics of communication. After observing, answer the
following questions.

1. Is there a common topic of discussion?

2. Is there someone who dominates the conversation?

3. Are the other members of the family showing signs of agreement or disagreement?

4. How do members show their agreement/ disagreement?

5. Was there an instance that communication breakdown occured? If yes, how did
they manage to resolve miscommunication? Recount it.

6. Based on your observation, what are the causes of communication breakdown?
