Car Expanding Board CMC-4
1 DESCRIPTION
1.1 INTRODUCTION
The expanding board PECA32 is connected to the UCC, to increase the functionalities of
the controller in the car.
The expansion board is used to increase the number of stops up to 32, incorporate the
“lift attendant” mode and connect the rear re-opening devices governing the rear door
operator.
The rear reopening devices configuration is made using the selection jumpers, JP5 and
JP6 in UCC.

X45 – ASC80
Male connector AMP 3 pins p2.54mm.
Connection Lift Attendant Latch key 80% (inhibiting this way the floor calls)
X61 – RX_T
Male connector AMP 4 pins p2.54mm.
Rear light curtain receptor or photocell connection.
It has the following signals:
+24V and GND for the power supply of the connector;
Synchronization signal with the emitting module (X62).
Triggering signal. This signal is at low level (0V) and no obstacles between
emitter and receptor when the output transistor is NPN in light curtains or
photocells. When the transistor is PNP, this signal is at high level (+24V) and no
obstacles.
It is necessary to configure the selection jumpers JP5 and JP6 according to the type of
available output, as it is described in the figure 2.
X62 – TX_T
Male connector AMP 4 pins p2.54mm.
Connection of the front curtain emitter or photocell;
It has the following signals:
+24V and GND for the power supply of the emitter;
Synchronization signal with the receiving module (X61);
Triggering signal.
X65 – DOORS
Male connector AMP 6 pins p2.54mm.
Door operator connection;
It has the following signals:
Output of +24V and GND.
APT Outputs (rear door open) and CPTF (rear door close). They are relay outputs
N.A. free of potential, RL1 and RL2 respectively.
Output NUDGING. Relay contact RL3 used for the forced closing of the rear
doors;
COM. Common of relays RL1, RL2 and RL3.

Unplug W1. It is recommended to take off firstly the power supply unplugging
the power supply connector and communications W1 of the UCC;
Unplug the connector IDC that links the PECA32 with the UCC;
Unplug the other connectors of electro-mechanical elements;
Extract the board pressing on the blocking flaps of the nylon fastening and place
the new board in their place;
Check that the curtain or photocell type configuration bridges JP3, JP4, JP5 and
JP6 are placed at the correct position as it is specified in the figure 2;
Plug firstly all the electro-mechanical element connectors and after that W1;
Reset the control system board UCM.
If, after plugging the connector W1, the led +24P of the UCC board remains turned off, it
indicates a possible short-circuit in any connected peripheral. It is advisable to unplug all of
them and connect one by one until you see which one is causing such short-circuit.
