Gayatri Mehta In today’s lesson, we explored the debt crisis


B4 Global Politics as a potential economic factor limiting
sustainable development. We discussed
odious debt, the role of colonisation in
augmenting the debt crisis.

B4 Economics Amit In today’s class we continued with revising the


Bhattacharya rational consumer behaviour. In doing so we
watched a video on this concept. Later we
defined the word ‘bounded rationality’ which is
the basis of human decision making. We will
be talking about methods which the humans
beings use for economic decision making the
next classes.

B4 History Smita In today’s lesson, students worked on the


Bhattacharya condition of Italy prior to WW1. They looked at
how Italy being a new nation impacted its
situation. Students then examined the impacts
of the outcomes of WW1 on Italy and reflected
on how this might impact Italy’s situation,
setting the stage for an authoritarian
government.

B4 Music Isaiah Otieno Today, the students presented an analysis of


textures using the prepared music playlist. They
located and identified various textures including
monophonic, homophonic,
polyphonic/contrapuntal, heterophonic and
homorhythmic textures from the playlist.

B4 Psychology Preeti Singh New topic on Social Cognitive Learning theory


was introduced today. Students were
introduced to the key terms related to the topic
and after that students watched the classic
Bobo Doll Experiment .After watching the
video, students were asked to read the short
version of the study ( posted on the GC )and
answer questions about it. Answers to these
will be discussed in the next class.

11 TOK-Group-1 Gayatri Mehta Today, we discussed each group’s


perspectives on the role of literature, film and

–11:10am imagination and our perspectives. The
significance of literature in law courses was
also discussed.

11 TOK-Group 2 Geetanjali Today we completed the presentations by


Diwan each group on what they felt was the role of
literature, film and images on empathy and
imagination thus building perspectives.

11 TOK-Group 3 Cathy Banerji Students shared what they had written in their
and Shivangi journals yesterday. This led to a wide-ranging
Jaiswal exchange of ideas on the relationship between
empathy, imagination, and later the role of
experiences in developing imagination.

11 TOK-Group 4 Yaman Today we unpacked Miracles - Humes Theory


Shankardas What is a Miracle,how is it different from an
extraordinary event, what is required to
witness or even experience a miracle.
Students shared their stories on jamboard and
we exchanged our ideas and understanding of
the concept of Miracle , Faith and Scientific
Reasoning. This was in the context of
unpacking “Presented with the belief system of
a community of knowers, how can we decide
what we personally believe?” Children wrote
their reflections for their journals, using few
questions as prompts.

Samuel In today’s class we had a guest lecture on


Osmond How do we acquire knowledge? by Mr.
11 TOK-Group 5 Sukrit Joshi. It was a very interesting class
with a lot of meaningful discussion around
the various WOKs .

11 TOK-Group 6 Twinkle Lal In class today, we read an article called ​On


Compassion by Barbara Lazear Ascher. Post
read, we discussed a few questions and tried
to differentiate between the terms care, pity,
compassion, sympathy and empathy.

11:20am B6 Business Management Khushboo We discussed the concept of Ethics and CSR.
-12:05pm Khandelwal Students looked at the definition to decode it
and identify important key terms in the concept
After the discussion we watched a video on
Volkswagen emission scandal to develop a
real life understanding.

B6 Computer Science Arti Gupta Today, students peer assessed the practice
assessment that was given on the unit of
Computer Architecture. Mark Scheme was
used to discuss each question and special
emphasis was given on the interpretation of
Command Terms.

B6 Computer Science Geetanjali Students were able to write a pseudocode for


Diwan different variables with user input and transfer
the pseudo code into a working java code .
They will create their own code and pseudo
code corresponding to the same and present
in the next class.

B6 Design & Technology Michael O’Brien Today the students worked independently on
their task 3 pull along toy project. They were
issued with a task sheet and had to research
pull along toys and use their research for
inspiration for their design. They must make a
3D model of their toy on Fusion 360. The toy
must be designed with ergonomics and
anthropometric in mind. The toy will be
manufactured in the workshop by the student
once the present situation is over. The task will
be marked out of 20, and marks and
comments will be placed on Wisemen.

B6 Environmental Devlina Singh The class started on a good note but the
Systems & Societies lackadaisical attitude of the students in general
made me change the topic and had a
one-on-one conservation with the whole class
about work ethics and class rules. Have made
some ground rules which will never be
overruled.

B6 Physics BG Srikanth Solved a few numerical problems related to


Forces and Free Body Diagrams.

B6 Economics Gayatri Mehta In  today’s  lesson,  we  continued  our 


discussion  on  Nudge  Theory  by  exploring 
bounded  rationality,  bounded  selfishness  , 
bounded  self-control  and  imperfect 
information  as  barriers  to  effectively 
implementing nudge theory. 

Cathy Banerji Students worked in pairs today to share their


analysis of Barack Obama’s speech. They
prepared for their video-annotation that will
take place during the lesson tomorrow.

Divya Pandanda Today, in class, students went into breakout


rooms to analyze the speech further and start
constructing their Paper 1 essay for the same.
They were given feedback on how to read the
text closely, make connections with the
context, the primary and secondary purpose of
the speech, the speech specific devices used
and how they impacted the targeted audience.

Aarti Khurana We began exploring Emma Watson’s


‘HeforShe’ campaign 2014. Students recorded
their first impressions on the padlet.

students are filling up the stylistic elements
along with the evidence and its effect on the
audience.

Twinkle Lal We continued to explore speeches in class.


The students were divided into their camp
groups and sent to annotate a speech in their
break out rooms. They will continue with this
tomorrow.

B1 Hindi A Literature Anshu Pandey Students continued reading Novel “Aapka


Bunty” . Today we have finished chapter 9 in
which they have analize relationship between
Dr.Joshi and Shakun .

B3 Business Management Indira Srikanth Today we covered the topic of aims, objectives,
strategies and tactics. Discussion around this topic
with relevant real life examples was done

B3 Economics Suveta Singh We did a recap of meaning and importance of the


study of consumer behaviour and revised the key
terms. We looked at a case study to deepen
understanding of consumer behaviour and evaluate
the rationality of consumer behaviour.

B3 Film Samina Mishra 2 students out of 5 were absent and work on the
presentations was not fully ready. So class time
was spent on finishing those. These are to be
presented tomorrow and they will be marked on
it.

B3 Geography Martin Hughes Recapped the greenhouse/enhanced greenhouse


effect focusing on Causes, S.P.E.E.D. Impacts and
various feasible Solutions. This was done with a
card-sorting activity. We then debated whether
the benefits outweigh the costs overall.

B3 Physics Mukesh Tiwari Today’s class started with a recap of the concept
done in the previous class. Thereafter we
continued with the concept of friction and after
completing it we did practice problems on the
topic of FBD with friction.

B3 Visual Arts Devendra Today a discussion on human study was done and
Shukla a demo was shown in the class. Students also tried
making human faces and shared the steps and
images. They created the artworks using
imagination.
