− All system shall be turn off. Water in filtration tank to be drain to enable visual
inspection of sand level and location suitable to place a pump.
− Raw water will be pumped into filtration tank. The quantity shall be control to make
sure the quantity is just adequate for pumping the sand and not to much
− By using a water pump, water along with the filter sand will then pump out to
jumbo bag at ground floor. The jumbo bag will act as filter to trap all the sand
− The flowrate of water shall be control using a valve to prevent water containing
filtration sand overflow the jumbo bag
− Once all the sand is pump out, the gravel will be remove manually
− After all gravel been remove, visual inspection will be done to determine level of
damage to the filter block
− Damage filter block will be dismantle and will be replace with new one.
− After the filter block been replace, a joint inspection shall be conduct to make sure
all party satisfied with the installation.
− Gravel than will be lifted to the upper level using hoist.
− A slurry of sand and water will be pump to fill the chemiles tank
− All filter medium placement will be done manually and every depth for each size will
be monitored by site engineer
7.3) Inspect and clear treated water tank from filter sand
