Course Description:

This unit aims to acquaint and make the students perform the details about Physical Fitness
and Self-Testing Activities which concern on the development of Health Related Fitness (Cardio-
respiratory Endurance, Muscular strength, Muscular Endurance, Flexibility and Body Composition
and Skills Related Fitness (Balance, Coordination, Agility, Speed, Power, Reaction Time).

Course Objectives.

At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

1. Define Physical Education, its objectives and legal basis;


2. Familiarized on the historical foundation of Physical Education;
3. Articulate the people behind Physical Education development;
4. Discuss Physical Fitness, Physical Wellness and the Principles of PF;
5. Realize the Benefits of Physical Fitness by applying the components of Physical Fitness;
6. Perform the Physical Fitness tests;
7. Create basic workout outline;
8. Be informed of the principle of warm up exercise;
9. Perform the different Aerobic, warm up and conditioning exercises;
10. Perform dance steps with suggested Arm movements in relation to Aerobic Dance;
11. Practice the Physical Fitness Activities;
12. Enjoy with mastery the group games for fitness.
