Problem: - 13.2

Considering that the encoded voice in Bluetooth is at 64 Kbps in each direction:

a. Use packet format for the HV1 channels to show that these packets are sent every six
slots.
b. Use packet format for the HV2 channels to find how often these packets are sent.
c. Repeat (b) for HV3 packets.

Answer:-

a.
F or encoded voice in Bluetooth packets are sent at the rate of 1600 slots/sec.
We are given, 64 Kbps data rate.
For HV1 channel voice packets are 240 bits long.
Suppose that we have x slots.
Hence, we have following….

1600 (slots/sec) X 240 bits = 64 Kbps

X slots

X = 6 slots.

Hence, it is proved that for HV1 channels send packets every six slots.

b.
F or encoded voice in Bluetooth packets are sent at the rate of 1600 slots/sec.
We are given, 64 Kbps data rate.
For HV2 channel voice packets are 160 bits long.
Suppose that we have x slots.
Hence, we have following….

1600 (slots/sec) X 160 bits = 64 Kbps

X slots

X = 4 slots.

Hence, for HV2 channels send packets every four slots.

c.
F or encoded voice in Bluetooth packets are sent at the rate of 1600 slots/sec.
We are given, 64 Kbps data rate.
For HV1 channel voice packets are 80 bits long.
Suppose that we have x slots.
Hence, we have following….

1600 (slots/sec) X 80 bits = 64 Kbps

X slots

X = 2 slots.

Hence, it is proved that for HV1 channels send packets every two slots.
