THEME: IGNITING THE HEARTS OF THE YOUTH TOWARDS ENVIRONMENTAL
VOLUNTEERISM THROUGH POWER-FORWARD SYNERGY

In this year’s EcoFestivalPH, the whole festival will be participated by the


organizations that will join all activities from Day 1 to Day 8.

The following are the Guidelines, Mechanics and Criteria of the activities set for
the whole festivity.

The 8-day long culmination of the Philippine EcoFestival will be officially


launched on November 14, 2020 with the following activities:

ONE (Organizations for Nature and Environment) Exhibit


Date : November 14-21, 2020
Time : 2:00PM
Venue : SM City Iloilo, Philippines and Virtual

ONE Exhibit (Organizations for Nature and Environment Exhibit) is a showcase


of organizations advocating and promoting environment sustainability. The
exhibit purposely created to promote different sustainable environmental
solutions and to make people aware that there are different organizations or
platforms where they can join and share their voices with.

The following are the guidelines for the participating organizations:

For Online Exhibit Category:


1. This is an online exhibit and open to all environmental organizations
across the nation;
2. The participating organizations must create an advert or poster for the
exhibit with the inclusion of the following details:
a. Name of the Organization;
b. Mission and Vision of the Organization;
c. Recent facts about the Organization;
d. How to be part of the Organization;
e. Other details the participating organizations believe to be
relevant;

3. The layout must be limited to a 1 x 1 size of an advert/poster, high
defined photo;
4. Participating organizations shall have the freedom to choose their layout
color palette. Thus, their own style to get attention and engagements
from the Youth or Youth-serving Individuals;
5. Send the entry with the following details to youthproyektoPH@gmail.com
on November 10, 2020: (Use “ONE Exhibit 2020 Entry” as Subject)
a. Name of Representative;
b. Name of participating organizations;
c. Contact number(s);

For On-site Exhibit Category:


1. This is an actual/on-site exhibit and open to all environmental
organizations across the nation who can come to the venue and
prepare for the actual exhibit;
2. The participating Organizations must create an exhibit board with the
inclusion of the following details:
a. Name of the Organization;
b. Mission and Vision of the Organization;
c. Recent facts about the Organization;
d. How to be part of the Organization;
e. Other details the participating organizations believe to be
relevant;
3. The exhibit board shall have the following size:
a. Height: a minimum of 4 feet and a maximum of 5 feet;
b. Width: a minimum of 3 feet and a maximum of 5 feet;
4. Participating organizations shall have the freedom to choose their layout
color palette and decorations. Thus, their own style to get attention and
engagements from the Youth or Youth-serving Individuals;

Criteria of the Exhibit Competition:

SineKalikasan (Environment Short Film Festival)
Date : November 14, 2020
Time : 4:00PM
Venue : SM City Iloilo

SineKalikasan (Pista ng Maikling Pelikulang Pangkalikasan or Philippine


Environment Short Film Festival) is a film festival portraying environmental
actions/issues to increase awareness and realizations of the current state of our
environment in a very compact and informative short films made by young
and young-serving individuals using mobile phone cameras only.

Mechanics and Criteria of SeniKalikasan:


1. This is open to all young and young-serving Individuals of a participating
organization;
2. Only a maximum of two (2) entries participating organization;
3. Only ten (10) will be selected by the initial panel from the poll of entries;
4. Selected ten (10) final entries will be screened in the venue as part of the
launching activities of 4th Philippine EcoFestival and all of the direction and
production team (including the casts, if there’s any) are enjoined to be
present during the one-day screening;
5. Selected ten (10) final entries shall be judged again with the invited
experts;
6. Top five (5) shall be screened online on the Official Facebook Page of
Youth Proyekto Philippines as part of the activities of the EcoJam which is
the last day activity of Philippine EcoFestival;
7. All short film entries shall use native dialect or language with English subtitles
to maintain cultural welfare;
8. Provide a Synopsis along with the submission per entry with a minimum of
150 words;
9. The entry must be original and does not copy existing and copyrighted
films. If found not compliant. The Organization does not hold liable to the
damages and claims of the entry. The entry will automatically be
disqualified;
10. All music in the entry are encouraged to be original in composition. If not,
put proper citation in the credits section;
11. Technical specifications of the video: Frame size: At least 720p Format:
MP4, MOV, or WMV;
12. Entries that have been a part of any short film festivals can join and send
entries for selection procedure;

15. Youth Proyekto Philippines shall have exclusive rights to the winning entry
for use in promotional purposes and general activities. Youth Proyekto
Philippines reserves the right to further refine or make improvements and
alterations on the final entry submitted.
16. By submitting an entry, participants grant Youth Proyekto Philippines full
permission to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works of
the entry in any media at any time.
17. An entry shall not exceed 6 minutes but not less than 4 minutes including
the introduction and credits.
18. All entries shall be screened 4:00PM on November 14, 2020 at the
Launching Activity Venue.

Philippine EcoDesign Virtual Fashion Show
Date : November 16, 2020
Time : 4:00PM
Participants : 1 Male or 1 Female or both, 1 Designer

EcoDesign Virtual Fashion Show is an online presentation of fashion designs


made out of recyclable materials by young aspiring Filipino Artists and
Designers.

Mechanics of EcoDesign
1. Shall be participated by 1 Male or 1 Female or both;
2. A designer must be a member the participating organization;
3. Only plastic wastes as materials are allowed for the creation of the design;
4. We don’t encourage participants to buy direct materials;
5. In case of large accessories, don’t use clothes or fabric as baselines;
6. The sketch of designs of accessories for male or female or both shall be sent
to youthproyektoPH@gmail.com on November 10, 2020;
7. The design should not be vulgar and free from any injuries;
8. Participating organization shall record the ramp of the selected model(s)
and send the recording to youthproyektoPH@gmail.com on November 10,
2020 together with the sketch, photo of the model(s) wearing the design(s)
and narrative of the design(s);
9. Recording must not exceed 3 minutes.
10. The details below must be included during the ramp recording:
a. Full body side-view walk
b. Half body walk
c. Close-up shoot of the design during ramp
11. The size of the photo shall be 4 inches by 3 inches, high defined.

Refer to the following criteria:


1. 70% of the score shall come from the judges
2. 30% from social media through an online voting system.

Online Voting Scoring (Voting until November 19, 2020):


1 Wow = 3 points
1 Heart = 2 points
1 Like = 1 point

The contestant who will garner the highest total points will automatically be
given a 30% advantage and the rest will have 20%.

Winners will be announced on November 21, 2020 during the Philippine Youth
Environment Virtual Camp.

EcoArt Mosaic Rendering


Date : November 17, 2020
Venue : Virtual/Online Posting

EcoArt Mosaic Renering is a venue for young artists/aspirants who are into
environmental art. They will be gathered to exhibit their freestyle mosaic
masterpiece online to show that art is one of the best tools to spread
environmental awareness.

Mechanics and Criteria of EcoArt Installation/Exhibit:


1. This is open to all youth Individuals of participating organizations;
2. Only a one (1) entry per participating organization;
3. Piece/Artwork must be original and should fall under the Theme of the 4th
Philippine EcoFestival or related to nature;
4. All materials to be use should be RECYCLABLE MATERIALS (glass, paper,
cardboard, metal, plastic) or BIODEGRADABLE MATERIALS (wood, egg
shells, dried leaves, rice straw etc.) (Note: Materials that can be found in
our environment/nature);
5. We don’t allow participants to use any kind of paints;
6. Mosaic Size should be 15'' x 20'' (1/4) size of Illustration Board, ANY
orientation (Landscape or Portrait);

7. Take a photo of the art work with 3:2 aspect ratio with minimum upload
quality of 1080p (.jpg);
8. The contestant must submit a documentation of him/her while working on
the piece. Photo (.jpg), short video clip/s or time-lapse video is favorable;
9. The representative must provide an interpretation/explanation of his/her
artwork limited to 1-2 paragraph;
10. Send the photo of the artwork together with the documentation and
interpretation to youthproyektoPH@gmail.com on November 10, 2020:
(Use “EcoArt Installation and Exhibit Entry” as Subject). Please include the
following details:
a. name of the participant
b. name of participating organization
c. contact numbers
11. All entries shall be posted on November 17, 2020 at different time intervals.

Baybay Kalikasan (Environmental Spoken Word Poetry - Recorded)


Date : November 18, 2020
Time : Posted with time intervals

Baybay Kalikasan is an environmental spoken word poetry contest. This activity


is to provide a venue for young and young-serving environmental advocates
who has poetic prowess and wanted to use their words to inspire fellow youth.

Mechanics and Criteria of Baybay Kalikasan:


1. This is open to all young individuals or young-serving individuals of the
participating organizations;
2. The participants shall compose an original free-verse or rhyme poem
related to the festival theme;
3. The language that can be used shall be limited only English but can insert
native dialect or language for at least one stanza with English Subtitles;

4. The participants shall memorize the piece and deliver it within a minimum
of 2 minutes and a maximum of 3 minutes. In such cases that the
participants go over the maximum allotted time, a three (3) point shall be
deducted for every 10 seconds in the overall average score;
5. The piece must be performed and recorded;
6. The contestants are required to put in a decent attire;
7. Use a vulgar cuss words, dirty language, expletives, profanity and foul
language is not allowed to become part of Spoken Word Poetry piece both
in the written form and the delivery (recorded video).
8. Video must be horizontal (widescreen, not vertical), HD,
9. The video recording together with the composition must be submitted to
youthproyektoPH@gamil.com on November 10, 2020 with “Baybay
Kalikasan 2020 Entry” as the subject. Please include the following details in
the message box of the email:
a. Name of the Representative;
b. Name of the Participating Organization;

10. There will be “Power Viewing” via the Official Facebook Page of the Youth
Proyekto Philippines starting November 17, 2020 until November 20, 2020. It
is encouraged that viewers should like and follow our official Facebook
Page (Youth Proyekto Philippines). The total number of views per entry will
consist 15% of the Final Score of the entry. The contestant who will garner
the highest total points will automatically be given a 15% advantage and
the rest will have 5%.
11. The criteria:
a. Content 30%
b. Voice Projections and Expressions 15%
c. Enunciation, Facial Expressions and Gestures 20%
d. Clarity and Memorization 20%
e. “Power Viewing” 15%

PENvironment
Date : November 18, 2020
Time : Posted with time intervals

PENvironment is an environmental essay writing contest. This activity is to


provide young and young-serving environmental advocates, aspiring writers
and amiable individuals a venue to inspire and encourage their fellow youth
through environmental essays.

Mechanics and Criteria of PENvironment:


2. This is open to all young individuals or young-serving individuals of the
participating organizations;
3. Upon submission participants gave the Organization the right to publish
his/her write-ups on the official website of the Organization;
4. The topic should be related to the theme of the festival;
5. All essays must be original and previously unpublished;
6. Use of profane and vulgar words or terminologies is prohibited and shall
result to disqualification;
7. All entries must be written in English and must have at least 300 words and
must not exceed 500 words;
8. All entries must follow the specifications below:
a. Paper: A4;
b. Margin: 1-inch margin on all sides;
c. Font: Arial;
d. Font Size: 12;
e. Spacing: Single;
9. Save the document as PDF and submit to youthproyektoPH@gmail.com
with “PEnvironment 2020 Entry” as subject on November 10, 2020. Please
include the following details in the message box of the email:
a. Name of the Representative;
b. Name of the Participating Organization;

The Philippine Youth Environment Virtual
Camp
This is a 4-day camping activity and the highlight of the EcoFestival where
different environmental actions will be held in just one virtual camping event
with young and young-serving environmental advocates/organizations
coming from different places across the country and invited environmental
action implementers. This virtual camping activity is full of fun, information and
excitement. A timely and relevant activity to educate our fellow youth about
environment and a venue for those environmental advocates who are
pursuing and surviving to inspire community and fellow youth.

Date : November 18 to 21, 2020


Time : 5:00 PM every night (virtual conferencing)

The following are the activities:

2. Environment Fora/Workshop
3. EcoMusika
4. Sayaw Kalikasan
5. EcoJam (and awarding ceremony)

Environmental Fora/Workshop
Date : November 18-20, 2020
Time : 8:30AM

Environmental Fora is a talk activity with Environmental


Advocates/Implementers. They will talk about their environmental actions and
advocacy implementation to inspire campers. The talk has 2 parts: Plenary
Sessions and Exchanging of Ideas.

Environmental Workshop is an activity where campers will be taught how to


create a one-page proposal or also called as a Project Model Canvass and a
brief pitching or presentation techniques. This is a break-out session where
campers will be divided according to their respective groups. After the
sessions, members of the group shall be gathered and have EcoSharing with
their fellow members about what they have learned during the forum and
what their environmental actions are. There will be tasks during the sharing.

All topics of the forum will be aligned to the camp theme.

Though campers are divided into groups during the sessions, they are still in one
orientation and it is as Earth Volunteers and Warriors.

Virtual Environmental Tour


Date : November 20, 2019
Time : 06:00PM

Virtual Environment Tour is an environmental video making contest. This activity


aims to promote and showcase the environmental site or environment-friendly
site within the participant’s locality and to provide a venue for young and
young-serving environmental advocates to share their experience about the
beauty, history and environment actions of their community, municipality or
city.

Mechanics and Criteria of Virtual Environment Tour:


1. This is open to all young individuals or young-serving individuals of the
participating organizations;
2. The participant/s shall feature one of the three ideas from his/her chosen
site or a combination of the following
a. environmental destination;
b. environment-friendly enterprise;
c. best and existing environment practices;
3. Participant/s must observe safety health protocols. (i.e. wearing facemask
and face shield, observing physical social distancing if working with a
group);
4. Any editing applications or software could be used;
5. Participants using local language shall include English subtitles;

November 10, 2020 with “Virtual Environment Tour 2020 Entry” as subject.

EcoMusika (EcoMusic Competition - Recorded)


Date : November 21, 2020
Time : 5:00PM

EcoMusika or EcoMusic is an original environmental song composition


competition to promote environmental awareness. This is for youth and young
environmental advocates, who aims to become young composers and want
to inspire fellow youth through music.

Mechanics and Criteria of EcoMusika:


1. This is open to all young individuals or young-serving individuals or the
participating organizations;
2. Representative shall compose an original song;
3. The composition must also be relevant to the theme;
4. The language that can be used shall be limited only English but can insert
native dialect or language for at least one stanza with English Subtitles;
5. No bad words and avoid irrelevant terminologies;
6. Composed song can be performed by 1 to 5 selected participants
including the singer(s), back-up(s) and player(s) of the instrument(s). Note
that this can be performed in Acapella;
7. Costumes are allowed but do not carry points;
8. Video recording must be horizontal (widescreen, not vertical), HD, and must
not exceed 3 minutes; In such cases that the participants go over the
maximum allotted time, a one (1) point shall be deducted in in every 10
seconds in the overall average score;

9. The video recording together with the composition must be submitted to
youthproyektoPH@gamil.com on November 10, 2020 with “EcoMusika 2020
Entry” as the subject. Please include the following details in the message
box of the email:
d. Name of the Representative;

10. Upon submission, the composition shall be considered final;
11. Change of lyrics and arrangements are not allowed during the recording;
12. The criteria for judging:
a. Originality 20%
b. Creativity within Genre 10%
c. Theme and Message 40%
d. Delivery and Melody 10%
e. Musicality and Performance 20%

13. Only Top 10 performances will be presented on November 21, 2020 as part
of the EcoJam activity.

Sayaw Kalikasan (EcoDance Competition - Recorded)


Date : November 21, 2020
Time : 6:00PM

Sayaw Kalikasan or EcoDance Competition is a Freestyle Environmental Dance


Competition. This activity aims to let the participants showcase and express
their emotions and thoughts addressing environmental problems and solutions
through dancing.

Mechanics and Criteria of Sayaw Kalikasan:


1. Groups shall have the freedom to choose music and create dance steps;
2. Each group will have a minimum of Three (3) and a maximum of ten (7)
members. The members of the groups maybe composed of all males or
females, or a combination thereof.
3. Each Groups will perform a dance number with a maximum of 3 minutes
including the entrance and exit of the performers. Beyond this limit, a total
of 3 points will be deducted from the group’s total score for every 10
seconds;
4. The dance number must have an accompaniment of any music, about
nature/environment;

5. Groups must shout “Dance for Nature” loud and clear once during the
performance. Groups shall have the choice where to shout it whether it is
in the beginning, middle or ending part of the performance;
6. Costumes are allowed if there is any. However, it should be decent and free
from injuries. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, or any combustible material
as props that may cause accident is not allowed. Recyclable costumes and
props is highly recommended;
7. The Presentation must be recorded and the name of organization should
not be mentioned in any manner in the Video Recording;
8. Video recording must be horizontal (widescreen, not vertical), HD;
9. The video recording must be submitted to youthproyektoPH@gamil.com on
November 10, 2020 with “Sayaw Kalikasan or EcoDance 2020 Entry” as the
subject. Please include the following details in the message box of the
email:
g. Name of the Representatives;
h. Name of the Participating Organization;

a. Story (Relevance) 35%
b. Choreography 25%
c. Music Choice 10%
d. Execution 10%

11. Only Top 10 performances will be presented on November 21, 2020 as part
of the EcoJam activity.

EcoJam (Compulsory for all the Participating Organizations)


Date : November 21, 2020
Time : 07:00PM

EcoJam is a jamming and last activity of the festival where delegates


celebrate with the environmental rhythm. This is also a closing and awarding
activity where all winners of all the activities will be announced or recognized.
All participating organizations must attend.

(Note: All the scores from the judges and their decisions are irrevocable.)
