I. Objectives
At the end of the 30 minutes session, the participants should be able to:
1. define Mother Tongue

2. identify the benefits of using Mother Tongue in the Curriculum

3. raise awareness on the understanding of MT Curriculum.

II. Key Understanding/ Content


1. The use of the same language spoken at home in the early grades helps improve the pupils' language and cognitive development in
addition to strengthening their socio-cultural awareness - Bro. Armin Luistro, FSC.
2. The Mother Tongue is used in all learning areas from kinder to Grade 3 except in the teaching of Filipino and English subject.
III. Expected Output
 Participants can be able to demonstrate understanding of Mother Tongue Curriculum through Demonstration Teaching and class
observation.
