4.1 Introductory Activity Review: Identify cause and effect
(7 min.) Retelling the Story: Teacher call on pupils to recall the story setting or the
town, who is the stranger , and what she has done and seen so far.
Pre- Reading Activity:

c. Unlocking some words

4.2 Activity (5 min.) During Reading: Teacher asks pupils to read the text individually

4.3 Analysis (3 min.) Questions: Who comes home to the town of Makiling?
Where does Jinky walk to first? Next?
What does she notice around the streets?
How can you describe the town of Makiling?

4.4 Abstraction (5 min.) Questions: What are the elements of the story?
What is character? Setting? Plot?

4.5 Application (5 min.) Teacher asks questions about where Jinky went in the story and what she
saw and helps pupils retell the story’s setting and plot so far

4.6 Assessment (5 min.) Let the pupils answer the Wh-questions

4.7 Assignment Teacher asks pupils to tell the story of the Town of Makinang to a family
member and write 3 sentences that cause the town people to be sick..

4.8 Concluding Activity Draw in your notebook about three things that cause the town to be in
disorder.

5. REMARKS Indicate below special cases including but not limited to to continuation of
lesson plan to the following day in case of re-teaching or lack of time,
transfer of lesson to the following day, in cases of classes suspension, etc.
