GROUND MOVEMENT
TAXIING IN THE MANOEUVRING AREA
ATC clearances and instructions must be read back.
ACFT that have landed shall report runway vacated and the exit TWY used.
Access to the parking apron, unless ATC should indicate otherwise, shall preferably be accomplished
as follows:
- With RWY 05 in service, entry via TWY G.
- With RWY 23 in service, entry via TWY F.
- ACFT of code letter E shall access the parking apron via TWY F only.
When turning, movements of code letter E ACFT must be accomplished with the oversteering manoeuvre
at the following locations:
RWY 23 to TWY C1, TWY A2 to RWY 05, TWY B to TWY E2, TWY C1 to RWY 23, TWY C1 to TWY E4,
TWY E1 to TWY A2, TWY E4 to TWY C1, RWY 05 to TWY A2, TWY A2 to TWY E1, TWY E2 to GATE F and
TWY E3 to GATE F.

TAXIING ON APRON
Avoidance of collisions with other ACFT or obstacles is the responsibility of the air operator
during taxiing on the apron and of the ground handling agent during the towing push-back or stand
exit manoeuvre.
In the event that for some reason, the power/thrust must be increased significantly, pilots must
coordinate with ATC so that the manoeuvre can be supervised from the ground.
For operations of entry into the parking apron, ACFT shall await the presence of the FOLLOW ME
car.
For stands 8B, 9B, 10B, 11B, 12B, 13B, 30B, 31B and 32B the access and exit shall be preferably be
accomplished via the TWY closest to the stand.

PUSH-BACK MANOEUVRES
Push-back required on stands 1, 2 thru 8, 9, 12, 23, 30, 31, 32 and 45 thru 89.
Pilots shall request permission to start push-back manoeuvre to TWR. They shall request this on the
TWR frequency, stating the ACFT designator and the stand occupied. The push-back manoeuvre
shall not exceed 10 minutes of the moment at which clearance is received from TWR.
The time between the end of push-back and the start of taxiing shall be 2 minutes at the most.
For safety reasons, simultaneous push-backs from adjoining stands will not be cleared.

LIMITATIONS
Exit from Stand 1 to 7, 12, 23, 45 and 56, unless otherwise indicated by TWR, shall always be
accomplished by nosing towards the threshold in use.

STANDSTILL OF OPERATIONS IN THE MOVEMENT AREA PROCEDURE (PPOAM)


Phase I: When RVR is less than 800m, warning on operations.
Phase II: When RVR is less than 550m, landings not authorized.
Phase III: When RVR is less than 400m, standstill of operations.
Phase IV: When RVR is equal to or more than 400m, resumption of take-offs.
Phase V: When RVR is equal to or more than 550m, cancellation of restrictions.

UNCERTAINTY REGARDING THE POSITION ON THE MANOEUVRING AREA


If the pilot recognizes that they are not on a RWY, they must immediately halt the ACFT and report
this circumstances to ATC (including the last known position).
If they recognize that the ACFT is on a RWY, they must notify ATC (including last known position),
vacate the RWY as soon as possible if they can locate an appropriate TWY nearby, unless ATC should
indicate otherwise, and then halt the ACFT.

FAILURE OF AN ACFT
Notify the situation to ATC and wait for the arrival of assistance.
If the ACFT is on a RWY, if possible and unless ATC should indicate otherwise, this shall be
vacated.

LOSS OF VISUAL CONTACT BETWEEN TRAFFICS


If visual contact is lost with another ACFT or a vehicle with witch it is maintaining its own
separation, ATC shall be informed immediately and the ACFT halted.

COMMUNICATIONS FAILURE
Departing ACFT: The ACFT shall continue by the designated route and halt at the limit of the ATC
clearance, taking extrem care, where it shall hold and wait the arrival of a Follow-me car.

Arriving ACFT: If the ACFT has just landed, it shall hold on vacating the RWY and await the arrival
of a Follow-me car.

If the ACFT already has ATC taxiing clearance, it shall continue by the assigned route and halt at the
limit of that clearance, taking extreme care, where it shall hold and await the arrival of a
Follow-me car.
