1.1 THE ENGINEER I WANT TO BE

I choose the Construction in Functions of the Engineer in the future because I desire to
manage the design phase and organization of construction plan. And the specific level is Level
Three. I think my responsibilities for this is to contributing technical expertise to project
drawings and design because I want to carry out many engineering related duty in numerous
task within the organization.

1.2 THE ORGANIZATION I WANT TO JOIN

I want to work in the company of SMEC Philippines Inc. The characteristics of SMEC is a
interdisciplinary and expert service industries engineering organization that brings outstanding
social and physical foundation services to clients and communities around the world. SMEC is a
global engineering management and development specialist bringing ingenious solutions for
clients and partners. The current manager of SMEC Philippines is Ric Yuzon.

1.3 MANAGERIAL SKILLS

This situation will develop more in my knowledge on how to make the team work. I will
apply the conceptual and analysis skills. I will create a certain idea on how they do
automatically their part and also a communication for each other to claim the success. I think
difficult to develop is the Conceptual and Analytical Skills because you don’t know what is the
problem that will came in the time as you presenting the work or before that day. But I think it
will improve our thinking on how to manage the problems.

1.4 ETHICAL DILEMMAS

The ethical Dilemmas that I’ve encounter is he Product Safety is fit for this dilemma. When I
was Gr.12 we make an exhibit on the Can Satellite and all of the things that used in CanSat are
very expensive. We don’t have enough money at that time. We struggle a lot because at that
time because we use one laptop and we wasting a lot of time on it because there is a lot of
process to code the things that used in CanSat and also the Arduino.

1.5 WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I will take some action to it. The type of moral management I apply is the moral manager. I will
take some action to it like thinking or I will talk to him after class that he do and I will tell him to
delete because that is cheating. If he don’t agree with me, I will talk to the Teacher on this what
subject that he cheat.

1.6 CSR IN THE PHILIPPINES

The company/organization in the Philippines that I choose is SMEC Philippines Inc. This
company carry out to work in a manner which promote suitability and community engagement.
It actively engage in community growth through SMEC Foundation. The SMEC Foundation
operates with the philosophy that a less amount of money spent wisely can create a far-
reaching social and economic benefits.
