☒ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.
☐ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

MultiMedia Tools: Video
Internet Safety and Student Privacy:
There are some possible issues with internet safety and video in the classroom. Students are not allowed to
be on video if they do not have a parent`s permission. Teachers have to be aware of it and be very cautious
when videotaping. One thing to minimize the risk is to have permission forms signed and only use the
students that you have permission for. You can also follow the internet safety laws that are in place for
children already to help prevent getting in trouble.
Reflective Practice:
I feel that the lesson can impact their learning not only with the video but with the interactive lesson as well. I
could bring in items for the students to taste, hear, smell, and touch. The sense of sight is all around us so, I
would not have to bring in anything for that. Bringing in items would give the students something concrete to
look at and manipulate rather than just looking at pictures. I think this lesson is a great introduction to a unit
of study.
