The COVID-19 or NCOV really struck us really hard. Last year
while we are all happy and celebrating holidays here in the Philippines then we heard the news that there is a breakout of the noble corona virus in Wuhan, China. At first we’re really not that concern with the virus since it was on the overseas and there is no way it will reach us unless the Chinese will come to us. First or second month of the 2020 we’re struck by the news that there is a possibility of virus breach in our country and just like that in a flash. There is a suddenly lockdown in the whole Manila, different people starting to panic, people in the neighborhood province starting to horde face mask and alcohol. All of this in a blink of an eye happened; experts in medical fields suggest that if the symptoms appear on yourself, you should start doing self quarantine for 2-weeks in your house. At first, we thought that this pandemic will be only in Manila and will be contained there because even though it’s a bit late to impose the total lockdown in Manila, we just hoped it will just end in there. But that is a false hope, breakouts in different part of the Philippines is starting to rise rapidly and then the 1st and 2nd victim arise here in Cabanatuan City, people panicking and starting to horde different supplies especially face mask for their whole month supplies. Local government are preparing for the incoming imposition of a nationwide lockdown by the command of President Duterte. Just like that in just a short period of time, our life changed. As the speaker of the seminar said Mr. Neal C. Cruz of Medical Center Manila. A new norm arises in our community, protocols like mandatory wearing of face mask were implemented, washing your hand always before touching your face, using of alcohol every time you touch something in the public and limitations in transportation were also implemented. There is also the nationwide curfew, where you should just stay in the house if you don’t have anything important or have necessities to buy outside of your house. A lot of experts said, if we follow the plan of locking down the whole Philippines for whole two months this breakout in our country will be ease by the month of October. But that didn’t happen; the curve didn’t get flatten even by the implementation of nationwide lockdown. Living now in this kind of community this day is really hard, there is a limited source of income since we still in the never ending quarantine status. Workforce is limited because of the social distancing and also different establishment were starting to close because of the limitation in customers entering their establishments. I therefore conclude that this mess will not be ended easily not until everyone will start to be disciplined and follow what’s right. Until every person in our country keeps ignoring every protocols and laws, nothing will change, nothing will achieve. There will be only death in every wrong move, so let’s start the changes in our life. Keep safe and Stay home.
