LO3 - Evaluation

Weekly blog updates are required, as with every unit. Please remember to
take photos/screenshots as you film/edit. You might find it easier if you note
down a record of what you did each day in a diary form.

Week 1 This week was spent on idea generation

We have been asked to create 2 productions for unit
9 and 10. I have chosen to make a short film and a
music video. There are certain rules to these
productions as there is no dialogue allowed. We also
have to choose a target audience from either 5-12 or
40-60 so we don’t repeat the same research.
I have chosen to target the 40 -60-year-old
demographic because I feel like I have a wider range
of interests. I did consider 5-12 but I find it harder to
connect with them and 5-12-year olds like animation
which was not a production to make. 40-60-year-old
have a wider range of interests, so it was easier to
generate an idea.
I have decided to make a short film and a music
video. I feel that creating these kinds of productions
will help my camerawork. I have always wanted to
improve my knowledge and ability on difficult
camera angles. Doing a stop motion animation may
restrict me on this.
Asking people for their opinion or advice is always
helpful and my music video idea changed thanks to
someone’s input. They told me my video idea wasn’t
suitable for my age group and gave me their idea
which was much better.
I do have a few things to catch up on like my surveys
but I have plenty of time to rectify that
