TG-1 load sudden drop in hydraulic governing mode

1. Date of occurrence: 15-10-2020
2. Time of occurrence: 13:04 hrs
3. Incident:
At 13.04 hrs TG-1 load dropped to 8.2 from 23MW suddenly in hydraulic mode operation.
4. Observations:
 TG-1 was in service with 23 MW load with hydraulic governing mode and synchronized
condition.
 TG-1 generation sharply dropped to 8MWand SG drum level stated falling down and
SG out let pressure stated raising.
 observed drop in HP and LP secondary oil pressures also.
4. Action taken:
 TG-1 MW raised to plant load by operating the speeder gear.
 25% FCV taken into manual and stabilized drum level.
5. Root cause of incident: to be analysed.
6. Has similar occurrence taken place earlier? Yes
7. Affected system/equipment/component: SG-1 Drum level disturbance
8. Recommendations to avoid occurrence: To be analysed after establishing root cause.
