LEARNING OBJECTIVES
M At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to write two (2) of three (3) simple sentences about their
families.
C At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to write the title My family using cursive handwriting.
I. PRE- 1. Finger-writing- Teacher writes numbers on the board. E.g.: 20, 60, etc. Pupils are given 5
LESSON seconds to remember the numbers. Teacher rubs the numbers and pupils have to write and spell
the numbers.
2. LESSON 1. Teacher models sentences on the board about teacher’s family: My name is Halim. I’ve got one
DELIVERY sister and two brothers.
2. Teacher replaces words in the sentences to model a pupil’s family.
3. Teacher calls some pupils to read the sentences and talk about their families.
4. Pupils do worksheet My Family by drawing a picture of themselves and writing about their
family under it. Pupils write the title My Family in cursive handwriting.
5. Gallery walk- Pupils paste their works on the wall. Pupils move to the classroom display to see
their friends’ works.
6. Teacher asks pupils about their friend’s families. E.g.: Has Abu got two brothers? No, he hasn’t.
3. POST- 1. Learning diaries- Pupils create own diaries to write their thoughts. They can write:
