LEARNING OBJECTIVES

M At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to listen to the dialogues and write the complete the boxes with
numbers correctly.

C At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to write a sentence using capital letters and full stops correctly.

1. Display numbers flashcards on the board.


2. Give pupils a minute to look at the flashcards.

3. Pupils close their eyes and take one or two flashcards away.
4. Pupils say which numbers are missing.

1. Activity 1:
 Using flashcards, review key vocabulary and questions.
 Explain the task. Distribute task sheets.
 Play the recording. Pupils listen and write the correct numbers in the corresponding
boxes.
 Play the recording twice if necessary.
 Pupils compare their answers before the class check.
II. LESSON 2. Activity 2:
DEVELOPMENT  Using the word and punctuation cards, work with pupils to build a model sentence on
the board.
 Pupils write a sentence about one of the people in Activity 1 in their exercise books.
 Partners read each other’s sentences to guess who it is. They should be
encouraged to check their partner’s work for correct punctuation.
 Pupils rewrite their sentence based on their partner’s feedback.
 Review and give feedback on pupils’ written work for both first and second drafts as
well the peer’s feedback. Make a note of common problems to review next lesson.
