Activity – Small, Medium, Large
Divide the class into four groups. The teacher will prepare pictures
of the different kitchen tools, utensils and equipment in preparing
sandwiches and a sheet of manila paper. Each group are going to
cut and arrange the pictures into small, medium and large, they
also need to classify it as to Cooking Materials (CM), Kitchen Tools
(KT), Measuring Tools (MT), Knives (KN) and Equipment (E). They
are going to hang their output on the board with one representative
to discuss their output.

After the presentation of each group, the teacher will give additional

Developing mastery Using Hot Potatoes-JCross, the students will answer a Cross Word
(Leads to Formative Assessment 3) Puzzle about the uses of each tools and utensils in preparing

The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will prepare a
short demonstration about the proper use of tools and equipment
uses in sandwich preparation in 3 minutes.

The students answered the prepared Crossword Puzzle made by the teacher using Hot Potatoes-
JCross. Each student is given the opportunity to answer the activity in the laptop about the uses of tools and
utensils in preparing sandwiches.
Engaging learners to work in groups.
The students help one another in accomplishing their activity about the Tools and Equipment in
Preparing Sandwiches. They group each picture as measuring tool, cutting tools and
equipment.
