19.2 Return water scheme for the consumers (spray water for hearth,
water spraying in the late stage of campaign life, tuyere nose, level
detector, temperature probe, gas sampler, top spraying, TRT etc),
differs from the system envisaged in the specification. You are
requested to indicate reason for the same and also furnish the
reference list where similar system is in operation satisfactorily.
Answer: The return water scheme for the consumers are designed
according to the specification, return water flow to the hot well
first ,and then pumped to the cooling tower.
19.3 For the probe cooling, it is noted that ICW is considered in place of
soft water. Please indicate reason for the same and furnish
reference list where similar system is in operation.
Answer: We use the clean water as the icw in China.

You are requested to furnish the reason for adopting clear
water as cooling media for gearbox cooling against soft
water. Also furnish the reference list where similar system
is in operation satisfactorily.
Answer: There is not necessary.
23.2 Deviation against Clause No. 3.9.2 of Section-IX
a)
The fast fill pump is required to take care of emergency
situation such as hose bursting etc. Please indicate how
such situation can be handled in absence of such pump.
Please review and include suitable pump in your scope.
Answer: There are three make-up pumps, one work and the other two
standby, in such situation mentioned above, all of the fast pumps
can be put into use. If emergency situation such as hose bursting
happen, maybe there is no enough soft water in soft make-up water
pipe, so even there is fast fill pump in the system, it is no use. In
China, in this situation, we use clear water or industry water
instead of soft water for this system.

Please indicate pump group where this will be applicable
indicating its tentative duty parameters. In case during
detail engineering it is observed that the type/speed of
pump as specified in the Technical Specification is not
available from any of the approve vendor, the matter will be
discussed and suitable alternative will be accepted.
Answer: It’s already indicated in the flow sheet and equipment list about the
each pump group andtentative duty parameters , we will provide
more detailed order list in detail design.
