Everybody is affected by the situation we face today. No selective state, rich or poor is
affected by the pandemic. One of the biggest challenges in the Department of Education is how
the sector in education will enhance students coping skills and resilience in the new normal?

Public school teachers do everything to enhance student’s skills and resilience in the new
normal. Starting of April 2020 different webinar topics have been attended by every public school
teachers, especially in the use of technology and various methods on how to teach students their
lessons. Out of the box are what teachers do.

There was an orientation to parents and students on what is a good way to enhance
students coping skills and resilience. After the orientation there was a dry run with teachers and
students on what is best to use in their learning. In this way you can see the possible problems
or what is better to use technology or methods for teachers and students.

Another ways is DepEd launched DepEd TV Channel where students can watched over
television about their subjects. Radio for remotes areas. Printed modules will be distributed to
the designated area where parents will get for their children.

Providing good quality education for students will not be an obstacle. With the cooperation
of the Department of Education, teachers, parents and the local government to enhance students
coping skills and resilience in our current situation.
