Accomplishment Report in the Orientation on the Interim Guidelines for

Assessment and Grading in Light of the Basic Education Learning Continuity
Plan, D.O No. 31,s.2020

In Basic Education, COVID-19 brings many challenges in continuing teaching and learning
of our teachers and learners. To ensure the safety and well-being of our learners, teachers and
personnel, the Department of Education (DepEd) issued a DepEd No. 012,s.2020 titled Adoption of
the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BELC-LCP) for School Year 2020-2021 in the light
of the Covid-19 Pandemic. To supplement the said DO, the DepEd issues the Interim Policy
Guidelines for Assessment and Grading in Light of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan,
DO. No. 31,s.2020.

Upon receiving this D.O. No.31,s.2020, the teachers of San Miguel Elementary School, San
Miguel, Burgos, Isabela, planned and conducted a 2 day LAC session on the Orientation in the
Interim Policy Guidelines for Asessment and Grading in Light of the Basic Education Learning
Continuity Plan lead by Mrs. Lailanie I. Dannug, School Principal, dated October 29-30,2020.

On the first day of the LAC Session, Mrs. Lailanie I. Dannug, the School Principal delivered
a brief explaination on the DepEd Order No. 31,s.2020 followed by Mrs. Helen Grace V. Guzman,
Kindergarten Teacher, for the Rationale, Scope, and Definition of Terms. Mrs. Rovieda D. Butac,
Grade 3 Adviser, discussed the topic about Policy Statement, followed by Mrs. Carmen M. Butac,
Grade 1 Adviser, on the Procedures of the said D.O. Planning the Assessment were tackled by Mrs.
Welna A. Barrientos, Grade 2 Teacher, followed by Mrs. Helen Grace V.Guzman, Kindergarten
Teacher, on the Conducting Assessment Remotely which is consisting of 2 topics, Communicating
the Assessment Task and Record of progress.

The second day of the LAC Session, begins with a recapitulation from day 1. Followed by the
topic of Mrs. Charmaine D. Dela Cruz, Grade 4 Teacher, on the Feedback and Remediation. Grading
and Promotion were tackled by Mr. Reygine V. Ramos, Grade 6 Teacher. The Role of Technology
discussed by Mrs. Rovieda D. Butac, Grade 3 Teacher. And the last topic was the Monitoring and
Evaluation by Mrs. Teresita B. Macadangdang.

On the Open Forum, each participants gave their own idea on how they can improve
themselves as they implement the D.O. No. 31,s.2020 amid the pandemic. And tackled each grade
level concerns as they share their experiences and come up with the best solution.

Awarding of Certificates to the facilitators and participants who attended the LAC Session
were made during the closing program.
 Through this LAC Session made by the San Miguel Elementary School, teachers were
enlightened on how the assessment ang grading of learner can be implemented without creating
undue pressure to learners, teachers and parents.
