4.1 Introduction
This chapter contains the results from the online survey made by the researchers.
The data that has been gathered from the online survey will be shown to this chapter

Table 1 shows that most of the respondents experienced through online learning
in the last few months is stressful. The data collected that you can see in the table 1
states that in the last few months some of the respondents experienced the negative
effects of online learning because they are in the period of adjusting to the New Normal
performances negatively because of some problems that they encountered during the

The two tables above show the thoughts of the respondents about their online
learning. There are 4 responses (33.3%) stating that in online learning the way of
teaching is very different from the traditional way like in face-to-face classes that there
is a presence from the teacher physically to guide the students in discovering new
learnings every session. Also, there are 2 positive responses (16.7%) stating that online
learning improves their technical skills and it is the efficient way of learning. The other 2
responses (16.7%) are neutral because online learning can be efficient to others but not
to everyone and also the availability of materials is needed in the online classes.

The table 3 shows the advantages of the respondents in taking their online
classes. Most of the responses state that their advantages in online learning are they can
take the classes without leaving their house and they can easily find resources if they
have activities or assignments that they will need to find answers. There are also 3
responses (25%) that say that they can be more focused on their studies that in face to
face classes, also the teachers tend to be more considerate in online learning than the
traditional way because some students may experience some difficulties in doing their

answer the subject's activities at home. Most of the responses are yes, they want to
answer their activities at home in the classroom because it can be done or accessed
easily and also they have more resources online at home than in school. Other responses
say no because they want to socialize with other people and they want the physical
presence of other people especially in group activities or group work because it affects

Table 5 shows the number of respondents that respond if the time given to study
for a quiz or exam is enough. There are 5 responses (41.7%) say yes because they can
manage their time excellently and they are not loaded with many activities so that the
given time to them is enough to study or review for a quiz that can affect their academic
performances positively. There are also 7 responses (58.3%) say no that the time given
to them to study for a quiz or exam is not enough because they are loaded with many
asynchronous activities and they have internet connectivity issues that may result in a

Table 6 illustrates the respondents' answer if they have new learning in attending
online classes. Most of the responses say yes, it is because the teachers provide a new
lesson, presentation and realizations in which the respondents can learn so much from
it, also they commend the teacher’s strategy in teaching the students that they caught
their attention that can affect their performance in classes in a positive way.

Table 7 describes the respondents' answer if they get high scores in exams and
quizzes now than when they were taking it at school before. Most of them say yes
(58.3%) and state that they are getting higher scores in the new normal way of learning
than the traditional way. There are also (41.7%) that say no because they also got the
same score in both new normal learning and traditional ways of learning.

Table 8 illustrates the respondents' answer if they have new learnings through
lectures that were given by the teachers. Most of the answers say yes because some
teachers are really prepared for their lessons and instructional materials so that the
respondents enjoy their subjects and also, they’ll get more learnings from it, also this
will affect their academic performance positively. Some respondents say no because they
have a lot of problems understanding it is because they are not the person that easily

Table 9 shows the disadvantages of the respondents in taking their online classes.
Most of the responses state that they experienced some problems that affects their
academic performances like having health problems that may risk their lives because
they want to finish their activities, assignments and other tasks early for them to expand
their time to other things that they want to do. It can affect their academic
performances in way that they can’t go to their online classes because of some health

modality they prefer. As the table stated the type of learning modality that the
respondents want to attend is the face-to-face classes (100%) according to them they can
more express themselves in face-to-face class than in online class. In face-to-face classes
you don’t need internet connection to attend to it or to pass your activities and
assignments online so that you can experience learning without any difficulties in
communications, also they can easily learn with the presence of their mentor which is
the teacher to guide them in learning new lessons that may affect their performance in
academics positively.
