After the resounding success of the ongoing National Level Quiz- O- Pedia Interschool
Competition, we now bring to you ' Vocab- O-Pedia A National Level Event '.

We cordially invite your school students to be a part of this Online Interschool Quiz
Competition, where great benchmarks are waiting to be set and new horizons, eagerly
looking forward to being conquered!

Let's experience the fervor of cut throat competition spread across 6 Preliminary
Quizzes and a Rapid Fire Finale in categories like ‘Collective Nouns', Occupational
Names', Genders', 'Anagram Riddles', 'Idioms and Phrases', 'Homophones',
'Similes', 'Proverbs', 'One Word Substitution', 'Oxymorons' and 'Word
Weaving'.

 GENERAL INFORMATION
 This is a PAN India event.
 The event is open for students divided in two groups:
 Group 1 : Grade 1st & 2nd
 Group 2 : Grade 3rd to 5th
 It is an individual competition. 6 students per class (30 students per school for each
preliminary round) would be participating.
 The Competition will be conducted in 2 parts.
 Preliminary Round
 Final Rapid Fire Round
 Registration through the Google form available at link

 All registrations to be sent by the participating school only.
 Independent student entries for participation would not be entertained.
 No change in name would be accepted post the last date of registration.
 All email IDs provided in registration should mandatorily be Gmail IDs.
 The language for communicating instructions and conduction for the event would be English.

ESSENTIALS

 For a dedicated timeline of the event, kindly refer to Annexure-I

 The trophy for the overall school winners would be given on the basis of cumulative of all
individual scores
 A weekly leader board across schools would be displayed on the host school's Facebook

 For a seamless flow of information, a WhatsApp group with the respective teachers in-
charge would be formed by the host school.
 The list of finalists would be shared with the schools on February 20th , 2021 through

 All other relevant details would be sent via email and WhatsApp group created with the
respective teachers in charge.
 At all times, the judgment of the host school would be considered final and abiding.
 The awards would be given
 School-wise
 Grade-wise
 Individual performance wise
 Quiz category wise
 E-certificates would be given to all participants
 The platform for conduction of the Final Rapid Fire round would be Google Meet.
 REQUEST

 A stable internet connection and uninterrupted power supply at the participant's end.

 The participant must log in from PC or laptop and NOT a mobile device.

PRELIMINARY ROUND

 6 online Quizzes (One per week) for each group.

 Weekday on which Quiz would be conducted-Wednesday.

 Number of participants :

(i) 6 per class (Grade-1st to 5th)

(ii) Thus, the preliminary round would have 30 students per school

 Online Preliminary Quiz format

(i) Grade 1st- 2nd: 30 MCQs to be done in 15 minutes.

(ii) Grade 3rd-5th: 40 MCQs to be done in 15 minutes.

 The Quiz link would be shared with the participants on their registered email IDs provided

by their school.

 The platform of the Preliminary Quizzes would be Google Form.

 Each question would carry 1 mark.

 No negative marking for incorrect answers.

 Timings of the Preliminary Rounds would be from 6:00pm to 6:15pm.

 The participants must login by 5:55 pm.

 The link on which the Quiz would be taken, would close exactly after 15 minutes of the

commencement of the Quiz.

 Preliminary Round would be conducted between 13th Jan to 17th Feb’21.

 For detailed dates and weekly topics of the Preliminary Round, kindly refer to Annexure II.
 FINAL ROUND
 Top 16 scorers from each grade across all participating schools would make it to the finals.

 These finalists would further compete against each other for the winner's spot.

 The Final Round would be a RAPID FIRE ROUND and would be conducted LIVE on

Google meet platform between 22nd to 26th February, 2021.

 Each participant would get only one attempt at the Final Quiz Round.

 Students must login from the email ID registered by the respective schools.

 Independent entries will not be entertained.

 The participants must not leave the meet until asked to do so.

 In case of a tie between participants, a final tie breaker round would decide the result.

 Final Result would be declared on 27th February, 2021
