following individuals and institutions who conveyed a spirit of adventure in regard to this
research .

improve the accuracy of data and who spend some of her time validating our survey

loving words and jokes to lighten up a stressful day.

To their parents who supported them financially and emotionally. For sacrificing their
sleep to give them coffee and food to eat, for encouraging and believing in them, for the love and

We dedicate our thesis work to our family, friends and most especially to God because
without, we will never be able to finish this research. A special feeling of graditude to our loving
family Manzano, Banag, Bondoc,Duncil,Meneses, Dungca and Corpuz whose words of
encouragement was key for our accomplishment. Our family has never left us in doing this
thesis.

We also dedicate this thesis to our friends and teachers who have supported us throughout
the process. Will always appreciate all they have done. Especially our Adviser and Panelist who
are there in case we have some question that we need to clarify.

And lastly to our Almighty God who gives us knowledge, strength and courage that

ABSTRACT

The main focus of this research is to discover the influence of “My Special Tatay” on
Verbal Communication of Adolescents in Balucuc High School in the Light of Cultivation
Theory. The researcher aimed is to determine the influence of watching “My Special Tatary” on
Verbal Communication.

The purpose of this research was to gain new information on what are the things that the
adolescents should adopt in watching “My Special Tatay”. The method applied in this research
was Descriptive research design along with non-probability (Judmental or Purposive sampling).

The sample size was sixty-three Adolescents in Balucuc High School.


The researcher recommended that TV programs should have a strict reminders that most of the
words they encode to the viewers’ mind are not appropriate to the adolescents, Adolescents
should be keen in analyzing the things and words they are learning as well as the TV programs
they are watching and lastly, the future researchers must know other TV programs that may have
an influence on adolesecents. They can also research about its influence on children.

The results revealed that in watching television there is a negative Effect on Adolescents
Verbal Communication.
