The document lists the advantages and disadvantages of simplex, half-duplex, and full-duplex modes of communication. For simplex mode, the advantages are that the full bandwidth is used and it is simple, while disadvantages are that it only allows one-way transmission. Half-duplex allows bidirectional communication but not simultaneously, while full-duplex allows simultaneous transmission in both directions but with less efficient bandwidth usage and more complexity.

Question: Write five advantages and five disadvantages of each:
Simplex (advantages & disadvantages)
Advantages of Simplex Mode:
The full capacity of the transmission medium is used by the sender.
It is a very simple way of transmission. It has no traffic issues. In simplex mode, the station can utilize the entire bandwidth of the communication channel, so that more data can be transmitted at a time.
Disadvantages of Simplex Mode
There is only one way of transmission
Bidirectional communication is not possible. Two devices cannot communicate in simplex mode. In simplex mode, Sender can send the data, but that sender cannot receive the data. The simplex mode provides less performance than half duplex and full duplex. Half duplex (advantages & disadvantages)
Advantages of Half-Duplex Mode
Speed is a big advantage of a full-duplex.
We can make use of only one antenna which can be used as both the receiver and the sender. Troubleshooting is very easy Whole bandwidth can be utilised as at a time only one signal transmits. It provides bidirectional communication.
Disadvantages of Half Duplex mode
In a half-duplex mode data cannot be transmitted on both sides at the
same time. When one device sending data, the device on the other hand only receive data. It is slow in data transmission. Delay in data transmission. It has less performance as compared to full duplex.
Full duplex (advantages & disadvantages)
Advantages of Full-duplex Mode
Performance of full-duplex mode is much better than half and simplex
mode. The speed of full-duplex mode is high than simplex and half-duplex mode. Data can be sent and receive on both sides, which increases the performance of the network. No delay in communication because both devices send and receive data at the same time. Disadvantages of Full-duplex Mode
1. No proper bandwidth utilization as the same line is used for
sending and receiving data at the same time. 2. It is more complex than a simplex and half-duplex mode
