Topic: Physical Enhancement

Sub topic: Consequences of skin bleaching

Plan of investigation

The major topic that i will be investigating is physical enhancement

because I’ve been observing how people are being rejected because of

their appearance. I tend to focus primarily on the consequences of skin

bleaching .I choose this sub topic to know more about its negative effect

so i can educate my friends and family about the dangers of this

practice.I tend to gather details by consulting YouTube for potential

video's ,browse the internet for article and also poems . I expect to

develop a better speaking skill to speak more fluently , a better editing

skills to become a better writer and also a summarizing of information

skill to help me extract the most important point. The editing skills will be

use in reflection one, the summarizing of information will be in reflection

one and the editing skill will be use in my oral report.

Reflection ONE
Consequences of skin bleaching was always known to be dangerous and harmful
to me before starting the SBA. The first piece of artifact i read was a written poem
Yussif Maktar entitled bad bleach .The poem mainly tells how a girl destroyed
her naturally black colour and the more she bleach ,the less she love her skin
tone and was later suffering from it for she could no longer live the normal life
style. The second artifact was an video entitled skin lightening product .In the
video the YouTuber was basically informing the listeners about the low
confidence she had with her skin which made me realize that no matter what u
do in life you can never please anyone. This artifact makes it clear that the
youtuber is regretting the choice she made in the past after being carried away by
the negative thoughts of others. The third artifact was an audio entitled
"bleaching Mi Clean Skin". The artiste was basically informing the listeners of the
diverse type of chemical that he used to get the attention of the females which
help me to understand that person are carried away by body modifications to
attract genders .

All in all, the artifact chosen for this research have develop my compression for
skin bleaching and the negative effects it has on the body. I also became more
self- aware and I’m more informed about how your natural looks really matter.

Reflection Two
The first artifact a poem entitled Bad Bleach was descriptive. Literally device like
metaphor (the kitchen is a shit hell on earth ) brings abouth the thought that the
female could no longer endure the heat of cooking for it will be dangerous for her
skin and (skinless meat abhor heat) tells how her skin could no longer have the
sence of the sun for it is already damaged. The literally device help to further
develop the image the writer is trying to portray.
The second artefact a video that was published by make-up perfect Bandado was
reflective . The you tuber sounded regretful as she started to feel remorse for the
choice she made in the past because of the negative comments by others .

The The third piece of source was an audio done by savage was . The artiste
happiness were emphasized through the repetition of( 'mi bleaching, mi clean
skin , mi cream skin') which made it clear that the chemical the artiste is using to
enhance his skin is having him to look blonde.

Reflection Three
This school base assessment made me perceive that person are using skin
lightening products because of the lack of self-esteem and are being judged
because of their appearance. The sub topic has helped me to have more self-
confidence and to always remind myself that i am beautiful the way I am. The sub
topic has inspired me to not only educate but also warn others about the dangers
and side effect of skin bleaching .while Working in groups it was very Beneficial
for everyone was willing to co-operate with each other by sharing relevant ideas
. The members of my group were partaking in helping each other to get the work
done more quickly and by presenting their information at the right time. In the
process of completing my SBA ,my summarizing skills were improve when i had
to limit the word limit in my reflection . While working in group ive notice that my
discipline has increase due to the fact that the members in my group was willing
to co-operate with each other without encountering any problems .
