Definition of terms

1. scientific attitude - is an important aspect of a personality of someone who wants to be


successful in the field of science. A scientist believes that everything  that happens in this
world has a cause or reason. 
2. Curiosity - A scientist is objective if he does not allow his feelings and biases to
influence his recording of observations, interpretation of  data, and formulation of
conclusions. 
3. Intellectual Honesty - A scientist is humble when he admits that he is not free from
committing errors. He recognizes that there may be better ideas and realizes that there
are individuals whom he may have to consult to arrive at correct observations and
conclusions.
4. Critical Mindedness - A scientist listens to and respects the ideas of others. He accepts
criticism and changes his mind if reliable evidence contradicts his believes.
5. Open Mindedness - A scientist can generate new and original ideas. Inventiveness A
scientist expresses his opinions and tries new ideas even at the risk of failure or criticism.
6. Skepticism (American English) or scepticism (British English) is generally any
questioning attitude or doubt towards one or more items of putative knowledge or belief. [1]

 It is often directed at domains, such as the supernatural, morality (moral skepticism),
religion (skepticism about the existence of God), or knowledge (skepticism about the
possibility of knowledge, or of certainty).[3] Formally, skepticism as a topic occurs in the
context of philosophy, particularly epistemology, although it can be applied to any topic such
as politics, religion, and pseudoscience.
7. Objectivity - A scientist bases suggestions and conclusions on evidences. When in doubt,
he questions the veracity of a statement in relation to the evidences presented.
8. Perseverance – continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or
opposition. The action or condition or an instance of persevering.
