Life is filled with uncertainty, especially at times of a global pandemic like

covid-19. The rapidly-developing coronavirus disease is dominating global headlines


and altering millions of lives all around the world. There are many things remain
outside one’s control during this pandemic. However, the mindset of an individual is
the key in coping with difficult circumstances and facing the uncertain challenges
during the pandemic.

The current covid-19 pandemic has heightened uncertain challenges for


people across the world. As the economy, employment, finances, relationships,
physical and mental health of people from all over the world are being affected by
the outbreak of Covid-19. These uncertain challenges have evoked fear, stress and
anxious in an individual till he or she may feel powerless over his or her direction of
life. Hence, the uncertain challenges may drain an individual emotionally.

Each individual handle the uncertain challenges differently. Some people


seem to be calm in living lives with unpredictable challenges, while others may find it
deeply distressing. If one feel overwhelmed by uncertain challenges, it is important
for he or she to understand that they are not alone to handle the challenging
situation. It also essential for one to realize that no matter how helpless and
hopeless he or she feel when facing a challenging situation, there are ways to deal
with it. For instance, one may alleviate his or her anxiety and face the uncertain
challenges with more confidence. As the uncertain challenges that one is facing
currently may become a worst issue in the future with the number of covid-19 cases
remaining steady for the past few weeks at three digits in Malaysia.

Most of the people use worrying as a tool to face the uncertain challenges
during the pandemic. One may think that worrying will help he or she to find a
solution for the uncertain challenges and be prepared for the worst. For instance, an
individual may agonize over the uncertain challenges by thinking thoroughly every
possibility or read every opinion online to find a solution and be able to face the
uncertain challenges However, an individual may lose his or her enjoyment in the
present by worrying about the uncertain challenges. Therefore, one should employ
healthier ways to cope with uncertain challenges and that begins with adjusting his
or her mindset. One can adjust his or her mindset by controlling things that are of
their abilities. For example, if one loses his or her job during the pandemic, one can
still search for other jobs online and send out resumes.

In conclusion, it is important to maintain a positive mindset to face the


uncertain challenges that arises from covid-19 pandemic. As people may face more
challenges if the current number of cases continues to increase in future.
