As I watch the movie, I realized everyone is Chan. Like Chan, we always utter
individually the question “Who Am I?” in times where we make unnecessary decisions
including the people around us and the way we respond with mixed emotions. Chan
also stated this; “I may have amnesia, but I’m not stupid!” in life we also tend to forget
our self and how worthy we are in this world and we are not stupid that we are losing it.
In addition, Chan also say that “I need to fight back, to get answers” in life, we have our
own battles but individually we try to fight back in life’s circumstances in order to get
answer especially on shaping our identity and find ways to have character development.

And the biggest lesson I learned in the movie is this repeatedly line of General Morgan
“Trust no one!” Chan trusted Morgan with all of his pure intention to help Morgan in
order also to get the same help on knowing his true identity but it is opposite to Morgan,
because saying those words to Chan is for his own good to gain power.

In the ending scene, Morgan was arrested and due to Cristine’s effort and help Chan
discovers his true identity and plans to go back at Africa to live a happy life. Then after
the movie I reflected that building character development is never been easy, you need
to put your 100% effort to concretely build it without worrying about the future or asking
“Who am I” and you will linger for the right “home” even though you’re a “Foreign” in a
place.
