Elizabethan Slideshow Activity

Get set! You are about to embark on an exciting journey back in time. You’ll get to find
out just what everyday life was like for people like young Will Shakespeare, including
what it was like to go to school, to work, or to the theater. In addition, you’ll learn about
foods, fashions, language, medical practices, even superstitions popular at this time in
history, and much more!

Assignment: The objective is to learn about Shakespeare’s world of Elizabethan England and
to create a slideshow of information teaching the class five important facts about each topic.
Everyone will choose ONE topic and conduct a web search for information and pictures to share.
Be sure to complete the “Select an Elizabethan Topic!” link to let everyone know what your
focus will be. Each student will create one slide in the show with their interesting findings. If
you have the same topic as a classmate, be sure to collaborate so information is not repeated in
our final presentation.
