UDC 629,114.4:621.565 JAPANESE INDUSTRIAL STANDARD. JIs Insulated bodies of insulated or refrigerated vehicles D 4001-1995 1, Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the insulated bodies (hereafter referred to as “bodies”) of the insulated or refrigerated vehicles which transport goods maintaining an appropriate temperature. Remarks 1, The following standard is cited in this Standard: JIS D 1701 Performance test method for bodies of insulated or refrigerated vehicles 2. The units and numerical values given in { ) in this Standard are based on the traditional units and are appended for infor- mative reference. 2. Types The types of the bodies shall be classified, according to the body sizes and the insulating performances, as given in Table 1. Table 1 ‘Type according to “Type according to body size insulating performance To18 a, BG D ‘T-o2 T0380 a0 $-036w cone on M-OW8 N-oww M-054 M-0saWw to Moe 100 1066 Lora Loe 1-084 1-090 L096, The types according to the body sizes shall be as given in Table 6, and the types according to the insulating perfor- mances shall be as given in Table 2. Remarks: 2 1D 4001-1995 3. Performances 3.1 Insulating performance ‘The bodies shall be tested in accordance with 4. of JIS D 1701, and the determined insulating performances shall conform to the requirements in Table 2. (1) When the floor is subjected to a uniform distributed load (force) of product of maximum authorized freight mass by the strength standard of Table 4, no harmful deformation shall take place. (2) No harmful deformation shall take place on the side walls and front and rear walls when they are subjected to a uniform distributed load (force) of product of maximum authorized freight mass by 3 of the strength standard given in Table 4, (3) 4) 5. 3 1D.4001-1995 Table 4. Table 5 Direction of load ‘Load multiple Downward load ‘Upward load Lateral load Front or rear load Construction ‘The construction of the bodies shall be as given in the fol- lowing. q@ (2) 3) 4) 6. Each individual shall be filled with heat insulating material leaving no clearance and, as a result, the insulating performance and airtight perform- ance shall not be liable to deterioration. When cooling equipment is to be mounted, the goods to be cooled shall be adequately protected from bumping against the floor, side walls and front and rear walls inside the body through clearances provided between them. The body shall be facilitated for cleaning with draining holes provided. An emergency alarming device shall be provided so that the position of operating part of which, installed near the rear door inside the body, shall be convenient for confirmation and operation even when the doors are closed and room lamps are not lighted. Dimensions The dimensions of the body shall be as specified in Table 6. However, the length and width of the body shall be the dimensions between the outer faces of insulating walls excluding protrusions such as the fastening fix- tures of the door and outer-board beads, and the height shall be the dimension from the upper face of roof insulating wall to the lower face of floor insulating wall 4 D 4001-1995 These dimensions are the minimum dimensions of each type.
