Installation Guide SQL Server 2016

Step:
1. Download “SQL Server 2016 Enterprise.zip” that has been prepared.
2. Extract downloaded zip file by right-click the file and choose “Extract All...”.
3. Choose destination folder to save extracted zip results by clicking “Browse...”, then click
“Extract”.

4. In destination folder that you specify, execute “setup.exe”.

5. Please wait until a window shown like this, then click “Installation”, then choose “New
SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation”.

6. Please wait until a new window appeared like this. Then, click “Next”.
7. Give check to “I accept the license terms” checkbox and click “Next”.

8. Give check to “Use Microsoft Update to check for updates (recommended)”

checkbox. Then, click “Next”.
9. Then, click “Next”.

10. Please wait until the process of install setup files is done.
11. Then, please wait until the install rules operation is done. After that, click “Next”.

12. Click “Select All”, then click “Next”.

13. Choose “Named instance” and give name “MSSQLSERVER2016”. Click “Next”.

14. Click “Next”.

15. Click “Next”.

16. Make sure Authentication Mode is “Windows Authentication Mode”. Then, click “Add
Current User” to add your user as SQL Server Administrator. After your user is
appeared above “Add Current User” button, click “Next”.
17. Make sure server mode is “Multidimensional and Data Mining Mode”. Then, click
“Add Current User”. After your user is appeared above “Add Current User” button,
click “Next”.

18. Click “Next”.

19. Click “Add Current User”. After your user is appeared above “Add Current User”
button, click “Next”.

20. Give name to controller name, then click “Next”.

21. Click “Accept”, then click “Next”.

22. Click “Install”.

23. Please wait until the installation process is finished.

24. Check all installation whether it’s success or failed. Then, click “Close”.
Installation Guide SQL Server Data Tools
Step:
1. Download “SSDT.zip” that has been prepared.
2. Extract downloaded zip file by right-click the file and choose “Extract All...”.
3. Choose destination folder for saving extracted zip results by clicking “Browse...”, then
click “Extract”.

4. In destination folder you specify, execute “SSDTSETUP.exe”.

5. Give check to all checkbox. Then, click “Next”.

6. Give check to “I agree to the license terms and conditions” checkbox. Then, click
“Install”.

7. Please wait until the installation process is finished.

8. When a window shown like this, click “Restart” for installation to take effect.
Installation Guide SQL Server Management Studio
Step:
1. Download “SSMS-Setup-ENU.exe” that has been prepared.
2. Execute the downloaded installer.

3. When a window appeared like this, click “Install”.

4. Please wait until the installation process is finished.

5. When a window appeared like this, click “Restart” for installer to take effect.
